------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race. Also remember that it's the driver's performance that should be rated, not the car's.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer). Motivating your own and politely discussing other peoples votes is fine, but ridiculing other people's votes will get you ignored. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which driver you mean. Votes that are too unspecific will be ignored.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

This was an atention graber race for the wrong reasons. But credit to those who deserve it

3 points to Well, to take a point due to lack of shaving and a decent haircut would be too cruel, so full praises to Nick Heidfeld. who shined the whole weekend. And, of course, Lewis Hamilton. Since the italian and british presses already wasted every possible adjective and cumpliment on him, I can't make an acurate description of how great was this weekend for Ron's pride and joy. I'll just say...

1 point gang After a great start and matching the pace of a superior McLaren for most of the race, a mistake of the team, not warning him about the red light, costed Felipe Massa a sure podium. On a bright side, tora, tora, tora dai Takuma Sato. Domo Arigato for showing us a Super Aguri overtaking a 2x champ. And finally, with the Radio Paddock and the silly season putting both seats on jeopardy, Alex Wurz and Heikki Kovalainen used well the events of the race to gain awareness and precious points.

Satisfaction = 1
Quality = 1
With all due respect to the great Gilles Villeneuve circuit, and the amazing achievement by Hamilton, I can't apreciate a GP that almost took the life of a driver. Lucky Kubica, all the best on his recovery.

Hamilton - 3 Points, maiden pole and win
Sato - 2 points
Heidfeld - 2 points
Webber - 1 point

Quality-1, like coyoteBR, I can't rate a race as a quality weekend with an accident like Kubica's and 4 SC's, when 1 SC is 1 too many for me(especially with the new rules)

Kubica has a sprained ankle i think its a bit rough to denegrate a race because of it.

Hamilton 3 superb
Heidfeld 3 superb
Sato 2
Rosberg 1 Impresssive in Q Impressive start, stupid team call would have been third.
Kubica 1 for still being alive and hitting every highlight reel in one. (oh and for being the only person to know that red means stop. Trulli should have been penalised there too)

I won't give any to Wurz and Kova mainly because both were outclassed by their teamates and it was only safety cars DQ's and various chaos that led to the high points.

Quality 6
Satisfaction 9 (loss of DC loses the point - my dream podium was 1 2 otherwise.

Quality - 4 (track is simply too dangerous)
Satisfaction - 7 (safetycar mixed the soup, some drivers dealt it good some dealt it really bad. Lucky drivers and unlucky ones. Names from shadows surprised! )
