First of all I would like to point out that I unilateraly decided to grant an amnesty for late posters for this round only. The reason I did this was because of the late startup of the thread enabling entries to be made. I think this probably unfairly impacted on players getting their entries in on time.

Despite the big shunt by Hamilton which saw him down in 10th and Webber appearing near the middle of the grid the scores this round where, once again, quite strong. The top step of the podium goes to competition organisor gerry nasar with 21 points. Second went to acuraf1, while third place was shared by brunopascal, tkulla, and Xig all scoring 19 points.

The Average Grid scored 18, good enough for 6th overall along with 4 others. Superstat was 1 point further back on 17. WDC scored a weak 14.

Season to date sees very little change at the top again. Makarias extends his lead, while Juan Kerr swaps position with fisichella_2001 and Kismet joins with paranoik0 to complet the top 3 positions. Last race I said it was starting to look like a close season and then Makarias goes and pulls out a lead using a guess submitted a month ago. I give up on trying to predict how this competition will go! The robot entries of Average Grid on 162 inches is still within 1 point of first position while SuperStat is on 140 and WDC on 137.

Biggest movers this round were tkulla climbing 6 spots to 6th equal and longhornx to 62nd

I am still so pissed off at losing the Monaco entry.

I would certainly be 2nd. At least.

Late enteries shouldn't be allowed, Tuesday is plenty of time to get guesses in.

Thats where I get a little confused myself. I posted the thread on Wednesday my time. That only gives a couple of days. The fact that so many regular competitors were late, a total of 15, prompted me to make the decision. Note that this is the first year we have ever penalised late posters.

On the people missing from the thread, entries can be made by PM or posted in earlier threads. eg you could post all your guesses for the year in the Bahrain thread next year if you wanted to. That would be a bold move but completely acceptable.

First off, everyone who is getting their panties in a bunch over a friendly competition need to relax a little bit.

Secondly, not one person was late for the competition . The last entry was by italiansdoitbetter on Friday, July 20th at 00:37, 23 minutes before the start of the first free practice. garth_b is across the international date line and my guess is not taking into the account the deadline on his computer would read as July 21st, (whatever hour). Use the convert to your local time and you will see.

I am not complainning at all. I was just saying that I missed the Monaco entry and didn't try a late entry.

So now I have 144 points but I've competed in only 9 races, which gives me an average of 16 points per race. Had I not missed the Monaco entry and kept the same average, I would have been second with 160 points.

I know rodlamas. I wasn't referring to you. I am in the same position as you, forgot one week. Possible I could still be in the top 10-12 if it weren't for that :

Re: Monaco late entries - could we be let off this one as it is the only race that has practice on a Thursday -all guesses were still before qualifying.
