------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race. Also remember that it's the driver's performance that should be rated, not the car's.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than ten points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the ignore list for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer). Motivating your own and politely discussing other peoples votes is fine, but ridiculing other people's votes will get you ignored. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which driver you mean. Votes that are too unspecific will be ignored.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship ignore list can still participate in Rate the race.

Vettel - 2 pts - fast in qualifying, survived in the race to take a fine fourth, even if they were lucky with the timing of the stops. It fell a bit into their hands.

Coulthard - 2 pts - His qualifying effort is Red Bull's best this year. Very fast on inters in the first stint, unlucky with the timing of his stop.

Räikkönen - 2 pts - Solid, fast and impressive throughout. Overtook to take the lead.

Alonso - 1 pt - hung in there and pulled some great laptimes at parts in the race.

Liuzzi - 1 pt - Fast in qualifying, defended nicely against an at times aggressive Heidfeld.

Button - 1 pt - nice result in qualifying, but a sorry start. Fought back and pulled a superb stint in the damp while on dry's.

Quality - 7
Satisfaction - 7

Satisfaction 9 - Hamilton doing a Coulthard was the perfect antidote to ITV's pre-race bluster, with no disrespect to anyone except the channel's production team.

Raik 2
Vett 2
Liuz 2
RSch 2 (by far the most exiting driver on the track, and great qualifying)
Mass 1
Alon 1

For the first time in many races, it has been hard to reward drivers correctly with just 10 points ... there were just so many good performance - Button, Kubica

Quality 9
Satisfaction 9 (A Ferrari 1-2 would have made it perfect)
