Does anyone here have a collection of or access to same of "Motor Racing" magazine from 1955-56? I'd like to acquire a copy of the issue with Hans Tanner's "Impressions" column about the OSCA special of Bro Crim.
I don't know where else to turn.
Pleadingly,
Anton

This is truly a wonderful group. In less than 48 hours I've found the information I need from a 50+ year old magazine.
Many, many thanks,
Anton

When did Motor Racing cease publication?
Was it absorbed into another magazine?
Is there any chance that there might be more pictures of the Crim OSCA special in a file somewhere?
Is there any record of who took the photo that DCN so kindly provided?
It's possible that Crim may have brought the OSCA special to England and raced it there in '56 or '57 although it did eventually make it's way to the USA. We're going to search for any record of it in SCCA events as well.
Quizzically,
Anton

It was the club magazine of the BRSCC.Originally posted by D-Type
If I remember correctly Motor Racing was connected in some way to the BARC. It might even have been the club magazine but available from newsagents. Or is my memory playing tricks?

Motor Racing ceased publication in February 1970. I don't think it was absorbed into another magazine.Originally posted by antonvrs
We're still searching for information on this OSCA special so:

Here you go:
One of Tanner's famous passenger-seat track tests, it would appear. And just to keep a proper sense of proportion note the 0-60mph acceleration time - 12 seconds.

What ever happened to the 'gas turbine' Mercedes GP car or was Herr Neubauer just keeping Rover on their toes with his comment ?

Just another bit of Neubauer BS, I expect, probably in response to a question. It's a qualified answer and the FIA wouldn't actually admit turbines in F1 until 1966.What ever happened to the 'gas turbine' Mercedes GP car or was Herr Neubauer just keeping Rover on their toes with his comment ?

Right, Allen, sorry. I see the Motor Sport header, but don't recognise the main cover photo. Do you know of an issue that features what appears to be someone on a slide?
