I recall watching this (I am sure on BBC) but I cannot remember if it was a single programme, or a series (pretty sure a single programme). It showed the build, seat fitting, and early tests. I saw it once, and wondered if anyone has a copy. I'd just love to see it again!

Well yes and no! That thread sorted the tyre problem, it's just that I have still not managed to track down a copy of the programme. Still

Tony Maylam who made the Hill documentary is the producer behind ' Victory by Design ' and the company is creation films. He does still have the film, said several years ago that he may issue it on DVD but so far as I know it still has not happened.

I remember seeing it at the time I think it was called 'Me and my Shadow' or something like that. I was very good i would love to see it again about '73 something like that ?

Your right Richard, it was 1973, and a superbly atmospheric piece of film. I can recall Graham sitting in the tub sitting in expanding foam, making the seat, and Graham making some remarks about , er, how it felt, or rather what it felt like! I sense an e mail coming up beggig for a re-release!!

I seem to recall seeing the team foaming the deformable sidepods, miscalculating the amount of foam required, and it all ending up a bit messy. I think someone (maybe Fluxie) once told me that the foaming process actually deformed and twisted the tub.

This is more about Tony Maylam's motor racing films.
It seems 2 new ones are close to release and that 'Mon Ami Mate' is still in development !
