The Independent on Sunday, this weekend, carried a book review on “Exile on Main St: A season in hell with the Rolling Stones” by Robert Greenfield.

“Chief informants of the story” include “Tommy Weber, a posh racing driver/ligger”

I don’t know anything of him, although Googling turns up a little. But I bet other TNFers do?

A Scot I think - bold and quick driver of ex-Ian Walker Gold Bug Elan, later Vegantune-entered Lotus 23 with 2-litre BRM V8 engine. Hurt his back I believe in a London collision with (or in) a taxi cab. Drove at Crystal Palace circa 1966 and did very well considering still nursing spinal or pelvic injuries... Unless I'm thinking of the wrong feller...

Did he run an early Marcos at some stage? ISTR that from a programme narrative, possibly Goodwood.
