A labour of love I suspect, autodelta? Wonderful and many favourites there. I do like Irvine Laidlaw's maroon Lola piloted by TNFer Simon Hadfield.
Now there's just the small job for you of going back over them and identifying them for us.....

You are right.A labour of love due to the subject matter. The Lola shot is a favourite of mine too.Such clean lines and a simple colour scheme-Plus it is in focus!I did think about putting up captions but I think it would be like teaching you chaps to suck eggs.I reckon plenty of you know the chassis numbers too! Thanks.

You are only seeing the better ones on here!Like everyone I get more than my share of duffers, usually on my favourite cars!If I remember correctly your gear was much better than mine so I reckon you are being a bit humble regarding your pics.Think I get the riddle!

The next two shots are both spoilt by the rear wings being missing. However, due to how much they hung out the back on these F5000's they are probably on the next frame!

Autodelta, old fruit. When you say you 'just' have a cheap Vivitar lens, is that a 'cheap' 500/2.8 or something more prosaic? Vivitar's sales are going to rocket on this form. I use budget kit, too (Pentax K200D and Tamron 18-250 at the 2009 Historic Superprix), but the following shots are far less crisp than anything of yours. From the top, Martin Stretton's March 712M, Peter Wünsch's Wolf WR1 and Justin Murphy's Ginetta G4...

What I mean is that I don't have Canon L lenses or loads of spare bodies![worst luck]Sorry I have just realised I said I have the wrong lens.I have a Tamron 70-200.When I say "cheap" I mean compared with a prime lens from Canon or Nikon.I am not putting down Vivitar or Tamron at all as their dearest lenses are very expensive.Hope to get a canon this year.
I like your Wolf shot.Is that the outside of Surtees?Like many people I spend a lot of time up at Druids although at meetings on the gp circuit I go all around.I take far too many panning shots for my own good.Your head on type shots are much more difficult as far as I am concerned and I will try to take more this year and improve upon them.I always thought Pentax made a good camera but have not used one since film days. The one you have now is every bit as good if not better than my EOS 400D which like most things is replaced by a better model as soon as you have bought it!I look at quite a lot of pictures from quality photographers and realise how good they are and how I would like to take shots like theirs.
Do you do any post shot processing?I only do very little as I don't understand most of it but what is wrong with your Wolf or March?Nice to hear from you.Thanks.

It certainly is. One of my favourite spots on the GP circuit. IMO it's because it's when the cars really start to go for a run in the countryside. If you don't mind shooting through the fence, you can get some great grass cutter pics in the spring with the grass and weed-flowers in the foreground.

Will have to give Surtees a try again.I am just trying to remember when I last took any shots there.Alain Menu was in formula 3.Perhaps I am overdue a return visit! You are right with your assessment of the corner as you see plenty of good pics by other people. At least the grand prix loop still provides good opportunity without debris fencing everywhere[for the time being!]
