A lovely Chevron B17C F2, driver unknown.

This is Martin Bullock who is a long way from home being Perth, Western Australia. I see he now has the FVC installed.
In fact quite o few of the Perth boys are over in the UK at the moment including the Jane Brabham or Jane Repco or whatever people want to call it this week.

Nice to see it in its new surroundings, Vince. Here it is at VSCC Prescott in 2009, with its previous owner, Phil Evans

I know it's going O.T. but does anyone know the history of that Tiger?

Isn't it one of a pair of works Le Mans cars? The other being registered ADU180B.
My late father owned and raced one of them in the mid/late '70s, but from memory I can't remember if 179 or 180.

Indeed, ADU 179B was the Claude Dubois/Keith Ballisat car from Le Mans 1964.

Tour Brittania hit Mallory Park this morning for a rally Stage, Regularity Test and Race.

Mike Jordan was out in an E Type which unfortunately retired from the race.

As did Stuart Scott's Camaro

For the Rally Stage at the end of the first lap cars went to the right at Devils Elbow and into the Paddock for more twiddly bits. On the 2nd lap the cars went to left and towards the finish line. The direction board didn't last long as Tim Bryan took it with him!!!

Fantastic! Reminds me of Monte Carlo or Bust - Peter Cook and Dudley Moore...

Any further news on the situation at Mallory Park?

Brollies required tomorrow for the AMOC Oulton meet by the looks of it. There's an extra HRDC 'All Stars' race on the race card at the end of the day, anyone know if there's an entry list online ?

Interesting to see that Rupert Keegan is sharing an Alfa with Richard Frankel in the Touring Car race. Sadly, there is no entry for David Kennedy :)

That blue Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 750-series was my first racing car in 1991, then painted Farina red, and racing in HSCC Novices championship. A truly wonderful car to learn the trade - so predictable and well-mannered. It would send the driver a telegram before losing it. It got me out of so much of the tyro trouble that I contrived to get into that I do not think I would have survived my first season in any other car. As you can see I have a great affection for it, and glad to see it back on the track. It was as fast in the wet as in the dry.

The second pic is a true sports Vanguard.

As opposed to the later Vanguard Sportsman, of which much more should have been made, IMHO, as a new breed of sporting saloons, qv Peter Garnier's Ensign based TR3-engined device.

Wild stab in the dark - Ray Bellm, Chevron B19?

Looks like a red car, driven by a chap with a red and white skid lid which - if memory serves - were his colours.

Not really my area of expertise Alan, but I think we could both be right... According to Allen Brown's (excellent) site, Bellm shared the Mu-Cron/ Daily Mail-sponsored red B19 with Roger Andreason in 1983/4 in Thundersports and drove it himself in the Atlantic Computers Series around the same time.

Not that I can think of.

Not really related but does anyone else miss the allcomers race you used to get at the end of every programme?
