To whom it may concern...
There's a challenge for the Foyt fans: Which day during the month of May '67 did Foyt's winner look like the model released by Carousel?
Or which car did they make eventually?
I saw the model, it has silver exhaust pipes and no airscoops at the rear.
But Q'shots of the car are with exhaust pipes painted white, and no airscoops!
Race day it appeared with unpainted exhaust pipes and scoops at the rear!.
The day after shots as winning car it appeared with silver exhausts and no scoops, also the wheels looked different. Not mentioning the differences in the little dicals of associate and component sponsors over the month.
So: was that another car, looking good and shiny and more suitable for the pics?
Or was the winning car hastily modified after the race for photo duties?
Have a go on sorting this riddle out!
By the way, the model misses the Ford decal on the nose, like the '65 Lotus misses the Ford ID tags as well. Pity.
Other than that, a gorgeous one for Indyfans as usual.

I have ordered, received, and installed the correct, blue, Ford oval on the nose of my '67 Coyote.
That decal along with the correct "Lotus powered by Ford" decals for the latest Jim Clark release is available for a very modest fee from Michael at
Indycals
