Serious

Rieken the same as Christian Rieken
was this a one off ?
What was the motivation of the organisers did they wanted to make a copy of the "original one " but why then on the same or almost same date ?
Out of topic how many race of 24 hours the same year Le mans, Monza, Spa and surely for sure
different rules.

About 1924, I've the same results, so 19 starters.

Winner were Christian Rieken and Hans Berthold
2nd were Giuseppe Ascari (brother of Antonio) and Attilio Marinoni

Fl: Ascari in 4m 43s (127 km/h)

In 1926, 11 and 12 September 1926
1- André Boillot / Tattini (Peugeot n°1), 2614.739 km
2- Victor Rigal / Serre (Peugeot n°2), 2585.360 km
3- Alberto Dusio / G. Foresti (OM n°12), 2110.030 km
4 - Gino Crespi / ? (SAM), 2058.170 km
5- Graf / Coudray (Jean Graf n°8), 1769.025 km
6- Camuzet / ? (Peugeot n°4), 1579.358 km

14 starters, 8 DNF

Entry:
Peugeot: n°1 (Boillot / Tattini), 2 (Rigal / Serre), 3 (Letailleur), 4 (Camuzet)
Itala: n°5, 6 (?), 7 (?)
Jean Graf: n°8 (Graf / Coudray), 9 (Suzanne Wurtz / Malleterre)
Fiat: n°10 (Silvani)
Marino: n°11 (Finco)
OM: n°12 (Dusio / Foresti), 13
Ceirano: n°14 (Napoleone)
SPA: n°15 (Favarelli)
SAM: n°16 (Vaghi), 17 (?), 18 (?) => Crespi = n°17 or 18
Amilcar: n°19 (?)

So I had to fill some gaps.
Some pictures would be great !

This is really interesting. Would anybody care to share any information on what became of Giuseppe Ascari?

In 1924 the Alfa could win but some ballast bags fell down out of the car. The driver had to stop to retrieve what he had lost.

The two 24-hours Italian races were called "Grand premio della Notte" (GP of the Night).
