Somebody asked me yesterday evening (as I know all about old cars), "So who was the guy who used to drive about with a glass of water on his bonnet".
He is refering to either a televised advertisement or more likely one of the public information films popular during the sixties. I do vaguely remember this in a short film strip promoting safe driving, but who was the driver? I said that it might be Moss (S.) but then had an idea that it may have been Paddy Hopkirk.
Anyone know please?
Anybody remember this one?

As part of his Formula Finesse driving course IIRC, JYS used a system with a large ball in a shallow bowl, not quite the same, but similar, or a development of the glass etc, as the ball rolled out under any viloent movement..
