He was a very capable and kind man. I came very close to co-driving in the Ford team on three occasions but it never happened, although I would love to have competed under Peter's leadership.

We'd better make the most of it now then! It's never too late to compete, Brian Davies from Swansea is 72 in August, Brian Dennis is around that age as well and they both still get out regularly.

I tormented the hell out of him with motorsport questions, often well lubricated, but he never complained once! His partner / wife was a diver, and brought my wife up some exotic shells that are still in our bathroom to this day!
