As per the title - apparently he passed away yesterday but unfortunately I don't have any further details and have not been able to find out any more yet.
From talking to my late father he said what a lovely chap Graham was and he obviously did a fantastic job with Caterham.
Condolences to Graham's family (especially son Robert who I met several times in the early '90s, great bloke and very good driver).

Sad news.

I never met Graham, but dealt with Robert when we collected a new 7 in kit form from Caterham and both at the sprint races and the Willhire 24 hr race in 1984 when we all co-operated in to a 3 car Caterham team working on each others cars.
I believe Graham bought the rights to the Seven variants from Colin Chapman back in 1973 and went on to make a huge success of it over the following 30+ years. Good times, sad to hear this news.

The races at Snetterton today will be a tribute to him. I only managed to watch one, the last lap was between anyone of seven cars and literally went all the way to the line. It was so close I have no idea who won!

Just to add to this; Graham's funeral is this Friday (6th) in Kent.
I'm not sure if open to all so I won't give away the details but the family have requested no flowers and donations to the RNLI.

I applied for a job with Graham as a salesman in the late 70's but as my background was not in the motor trade, I was turned down for the post. I was an estate agent and my office was within 50 yards of the works at Caterham- on- the-Hill. It was my dream car but never had the pleasure of driving one. Graham RIP
