Btw, I'm willing to bet there is more to her animosity toward him than his making a call during an interview with her. Just sayin'...

'I don't think Jenson Button deserves to be the world F1 champion,' said Tamara, at the opening of Mayfair members' club The Red Room. 'He has been in it such a long time and never really came close to winning a championship.
'Suddenly the car is good and he's won the championship. He only won six races and they were all at the beginning of the season.

Duh talk about stating the ****ing obvious that you need a decent car to win.
And ironically "only" 6 races is more than the guy she bums in this interview won in 2008 when he won the title

But this is more about the fact she is a girl who expects to be the centre of attention and didn't take kindly to being ignored.
She's a bit like Salome asking Herod for John's head. Except Tamara, being half Hrvàtica, was quite happy to do the sawing herself.

Lewis Hamilton is so lovely and down to earth too but I really want to get to know Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel better.

But she is damn hot so if she kept her views to herself ;)

If they'd all had the same car, then Jenson Button definitely wouldn't have won this season. Lewis Hamilton is a better driver and he's a nicer person.
The animosity towards Button allegedly stems from a trackside interview that Miss Ecclestone conducted with Button as part of her job with Sky Sports.
Tamara said: 'He was just answering his phone in the middle of the interview and I was like: "Dude, I'm sitting here, what are you doing?"'
so this isn't about his driving skill it's about being 'nicer'? clearly a tantrum because Jenson didn't tug the old forelock heavily enough...
while we're on the topic of discussing who's earned their success and who hasn't, what did Tamara do to earn her job at sky?
apart from her daddy being the boss that is

Exactly, she was not a Louise Goodman/Emma Buxton type figure from the grassroots of motorsports who has worked her way up, she has the F1 knowledge of a garden slug and is purely there through Bernie calling in favours

If Jense had answered his phone in the middle of an interview by Ted Kravitz, would that have been OK?
"Only 6 wins" was a bit silly, otherwise Jense had it coming IMO.. I saw him on a TV programme doing some kind of uphill trek with a female presenter, supposed to be talking with her but he just left her behind - same kind of attitude.

I don't recall Jenson ever being suspended for breaking a fellow student's fingers.

There are some very sexist posts in this thread, and were even more before Gilles' cleanup. Seems to me criticism of Jense is less acceptable if it's made by a woman.
nothing like a woman's scorn

It was on a gridwalk not a scheduled interview, gridwalks are pot luck, drivers can't stop everything they are doing because someone on a gridwalk clicks their fingers

Very ill-judge comments by Tamara,. e.g.
"Lewis Hamilton is a better driver and he's a nicer person."
I don't recall Jenson ever being suspended for breaking a fellow student's fingers.

Wasnt that when jenson was in a hurry to go to the toilet before the race?
Either way i dont see this thread going anywhere useful.

Oops interesting how long was he suspended for, can't see Jenson doing such a sneaky underhand thing he'd properly punch out a guy's lights like he warned Branson he would.I don't recall Jenson ever being suspended for breaking a fellow student's fingers.
But come on let the girl have an opinion (although the "won only 6 races" was pretty clueless), it's not a surprise that someone with a polished shiny image such as Lewis would fit in with Tamara Ecclestone much better than Jenson.
Still a bit of a daft thing to say because if she's on the grid next, I'm sure Jenson will remind her of this somehow.

The Hamilton's would certainly like you to believe it's a lieNothing, it's a lie that member has been banned for in the past.
Those that were there...who I know personally...know different, despite AH's (largely successful) attempt to have it covered up.
A bit of background - and the result of the "oh, it was a mistake" ruling by the school, once Anthony had got them to understand they could be condemning their only likely future-MBE winner to disgrace - can be seen at: http://www.dailymail...ls-fingers.html
If you believe every official exoneration is the same thing as having done no wrong, then good luck to you!

ok I changed my mind, it's sexist. Obviously, she felt slighted by Button but her views on his championship are shared by quite a lot people here, we have threads about "tainted", "unworthy" WDC, but no posters here were attacked as "stupid bitch", "garden slug". People jump on her about how she's not qualified and she only got the job because of her dad. But if we're honest, we did appreciate her as an eye candy when she worked for sky. I don't remember people had such problem with her F1 knowledge before she made those comments about Button.

If Louise Goodman made comments about F1 for example then they can be taken seriously as she has credibility and a track record but Tamara is there for eye candy so should not make F1 comments as it makes her look stupid
"only 6 wins" was the most pathetic bit, yet she goes on to bum Hamilton who won a title by the skin of his teeth with 5 wins, she is right to be taken to task for her hypocricy
Then she says it is wrong Button won title because he had the best car when he had never been successful previous but she can't seem to grasp the fact you need best or 2nd best car to be a champion

Tamara, are you a regular poster here?!
In seriousness sounds like a bit of headline grabbing ADD after her failed role as an interviewer! I wouldn't take Bernie's opinion on the matter that seriously (could you on any?) so that of his daughter even less.
Trying to present herself as some kind of it girl instead of going out and making a success on her own merits.

Yes, I agree. But most previous posts just dismiss her views with "she's hot but she's dumb" and other vulgar comments, posters don't even bother with a reasoned argument, that's why it's sexiest. As I said, people just immediately turned to sexiest remarks when it comes to her, something they haven't done in the two threads on Button's championship.

Jenson doesn't need to!
By talking so loosely she clearly exposes herself to be a terrible journalist and cements the general perception about her (if one can even call her a journalist without insulting the real press people). Bet papa richest too ignores her mid-conversation and answers the phone.

Tamara is just exposing to the layman or laywoman the reason that I don't fancy Jenson myself. I like that he's a Brit, I like that he's a fighting driver, i like that he's been the underdog for a long time. But I don't actually like "him".
Maybe someone like here who has no celebrity goggles on or F1 goggles on sees things a bit more clearly. I for one welcome a presenter or interviewer who can do as such in F1.
Yes same for me, I don't find him all that likeable. This year somehow the more interviews I've seen the less I take to him. He's only barely got rid of that tendency to start every reply with the word "no".
Sounds like he was disrespectful and now that's come back to bite him, anyway. Well, just a slight nibble more than a bite perhaps.

"Jenson wouldn't have won in equal cars"
Tamara, are you a regular poster here?!
Quite. Same knowledge probably too. Anyway, I can see a point or two in the "Jenson not worthy" arguement, but not the disparaging conclusion. Anyway what does it matter what she says, she's only Bernie's daughter. If she wants to actually come into F1, I'd welcome her

This coming from some air head who would be nothing without Daddy's money and influence. What a joke. At leat Jens earned his place in F1 by working hard and doing what he had to growing up. What did she do? She was...ummm... born? Yeah hard work!

you people don't work in F1, but I bet you feel you have every right to disagree with pundits like James Allen.
It's not her fault she's born rich, and it doesn't automatically make her comments worthless.
