Are we getting anywhere? The problem persists.

Live timing, Melbourne FP3. There are 3 Ferrari's in the top 10, one of them driven by Kimi.

In the Australian GP race report:

Kimi Raikkonen was next up, finishing eighth on his Alfa Romeo debut

New ownership and all but most would probably date Kimi's debut with the team to the 2001 Australian GP.

What has happened to the Autosport photo galleries?

It seems they are not showing anything after the new car launches in early February

Ickx found himself in a race-long battle for third with Jo Siffert, and though the Ferrari secured the place when the March lost oil pressure, Ickx was left "very disappointed not to have done better".

Siffert drove a BRM that year.

People forget that, back in the 1770s, any serious team would use a Cosworth

”Ticktum eighth in Suzuka Super Formula round” is a weird headline on a race report.

For the last couple of days, I've had a grey pop-up bar appear at the bottom of every forum page I go to, index or thread. There's an X to close it but otherwise no text on it - and of course it reappears every time I go to the next page.

Doesn't appear on any other web forum apart from Autosport.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5200 with Windows 10 and Firefox browser, no plug ins, and all software is up to date.

There was a mistake in the Gallery Section today - 4 photos of the proposed new F1 circuit in Hanoi ! Was this human error and can they be deleted?

Autosport has adopted a 'no photo'  for F1 since the launches in February/March

This is to acknowledge the process through which Mercedes is alleged to have first used its 'Silver Arrows' scheme, when the white paint on the manufacturer's W25 car was scraped off to meet the 750kg weight limit before its first race in 1934.

From here.

This is utter bollocks.  Not only were the Silver Arrows never painted, something which Mercedes started in 1932, the first race for the W25 was a Libre event with no weight limit, so there was no need to scrape anything off.

"Daniel Ricciardo went across the run off area at the first chicane, and the following car of Lance Stroll then backed off to ensure he did not overtake the Renault. Behind him everyone else backed off to try to not move to the front of the train."

Still mentioning Daniel Ricciardo

After hours of discussions about Nico Hulkenberg's behavior, even in your own stories?  :stoned:

Alexander Peroni is Australian, not Italian.

Hint: he's sponsored by his home state of Tasmania.

Quite clear no one bothers to actually read this thread. Truly pathetic.

This mistake was corrected in the magazine, but is still wrong online. Uttery garbage.

Not sure if this is where to post this, but I think it counts as a "factual" error. Anyways the entire crux of the Chain Bear F1 video at https://www.autospor...n-f1-title-race is incorrect according to this interview: http://atlasf1.autos...ov17/goren.html

Dupasquier:

"But most importantly, we did not modify our tyre - this year we ran the same tyre as we did last year, before Hungary. The only thing we changed was added a clear mark on both sides of the tread, to make it more visible and the measurement easier. Other than that, we did not modify anything to it - we didn't even change the mould, it's the same mould."

That Jag pic isn't 590, it's not even an XJR-11.

Edit: Pic removed, but a pity not replaced with a correct one!

18.10 CET, but 17.10 in the UK. The website Grand Prix timetable has been very reliable in the past but I'm pretty sure the 'local' feature is currently telling us, here in the UK, that the race is starting an hour later than it really is.

It would also be nice if they could fix the timing layout and remove the unneccesary time zone info...

If you're trying to access via Classic, therein lies the problem. I've not been able to access these via Classic the last few races. You have to go via the new site.

Wooot, I have done gazillion virtual laps there and didn't recognize it.

It's a weird angle and the environment looks too green.

Thanks a lot.

I don't think they realise that To Hell and Back was released in '86 either.

Many thanks for the Archive page, however, there appears to be some problem. For example, when I try to click on any headline from https://search.autos...month/07/day/04, it gives me error message either page was not found or the page doesn't work for "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS". Thank you.

On top of which, I'm not sure how Monaco 1983 can be included, given Rosberg ran the whole race on dries, and starting on wets was the wrong thing to do...
