crapshoot that is, I still think it's pretty impressive seeing 30 cars are full tilt packe into less that 200 meters

OK so on Raceview, the 47 is listed as "BO. LABONTE" at first I'm like, cool, Terry must be in this one.

Then I'm like, wait...is there a third Labonte brother whose first name also begins with B?

This whole pack racing is just insane to watch.

What do you guys think of this dropping to the back strategy? I think you end up with less experienced, slower cars that are, if anything, more likely to crash.

Best way to miss a wreck is to be ahead of it.

I like Keselowski a lot more because of what he's done and said this year, but he still has the most punchable face ever. If you just look at him during an interview you can easily see him shaking down nerds and dweebs for lunch money at the lockers before gym class.

Anything that JPM does is going to backfire on him and he will get collected. I believe that this driving in the back of the pack is very very risky.

Uh oh. Here comes Kenseth.

Don't let Biffle get behind him.

I'd love to see him cross someone like Carl Edwards and then taken behind the haulers and get pummeled.
If had kept driving like he did when started in NASCAR, it would have been a gimme that he would get his ass handed to him by someone.
maybe that's why he's seemed to have a come to jesus moment> somewhere in the last year in his racing habits<
well, thats one down...
Boom

I still can't figure out how that happened....it was clearly Cole Whitt but who helped him?

Amazing, only 2 cars.

Edit: ESPN says 3, who was the 3rd?

Logano was clipped when Whitt came back down the track.

Edwards tagged Logano on the way back down, he has front fender damage, bit of tape will see him right.

ETA maybe it was Whitt that tagged him..

Well, you might not be able to run up front. It seems much better to be in the back than in the middle of the pack. And, if you run up front, it's easy to get shoved back in the pack at Dega.

In the commercial where he gets sprayed in the face with mace.....I wish that was the real stuff.

I'm yet to see that commercial but I can see the appeal of it.

Weird.. they held back from going to a commercial break just to see if Joonya was going to lead that lap?

The #42 tries that every race. So far the data doesn't seem to support that tactic.

Kenseth & Biffle (not Bowyer) made a run for the lead, took it, then i think it was Kenseth who got sideways and lost a ton of places just before returning from the break

Every lap at Talladega is like a mini-heart attack. For some reason I have it my head that the car pushing in 2-car drafts is always going to spin out the car ahead through the tri-oval. It's like watching football and expecting someone to break their legs in a scrum every play.

I think he's drafting with KyBu who also got a penalty.

They're way slower than the field so that's proof positive that the two car draft is slower than the pack, which to me is great.

Nah, they're about to get lapped any second, they're just following each other, not helping each other. and they all go flying by

Looks like theres now a scrap between them for first a lap down, in amongst the tail of the lead pack

Howdy all. Kid Koala here to raise breast awareness and speeding tickets.
Kurtz gonna win this Talladega Nights style, in a flipped over tandem with good old pal Regan Smith. Right now i still have my F1 live timing window on, Vettel FL on penultimate lap, same bull.

I knew he was going to crash. And there he goes throwing a tantrum, pulled away from the officials like a total moron. He's a child in mans body for sure.

It was the bag of medical equipment the safety crew put on top of the car.
