How is your winter passing by without a race?

Do you want to share how are you planning to spend next some odd hundred days? (Of course other than bashing your favourite enemies).

I want to pick up on better understanding of normative references pertaining to F1 (mostly by FiA), and try to elevate my understanding of elementary aerodynamics of an F1 car. To keep in shape, I plan to stay updated on latest rumours.

Cheers!

I plan to down a few beers and eat lots of turkey. That's a few days sorted next month at least.

F1 -wise:

F1 2012 + wheel & pedals + 42" plasma screen. Almost always online.

Not without its flaws but still fantastic

Non-F1-wise:

With female company.

Spend time with my family.

Actually work on my MBA on a weekend instead of being glued to F1.

Visit Australia just before Melbourne 2013 (idiot).

I've nothing to do outside of developing a travel show for MTV3 in Finland called "Leave me alone, I know where I'm going".

My sporting attention switches to the Ski World Cup, November to March. Its perfect.

As far as motorsport consumption goes, there is no let up, there is just as much business and technological news and intrigue during the winter, and I find testing just as exciting as the racing. I'll normally try and attend a couple of days in Spain, working commitments permitting, its a very cheap way to see F1 cars in action and a very relaxed.

There is also the Autosport show in January - completely unmissable!

Me? No.

Fantastic race, JB/Mac won and of the 2 contenders my preferred choice won. Couldn't have gone better really. I'm just ready to enjoy Christmas.

Excellent. The director got quite a few things wrong during the race coverage, but picking up live footage of Kimi's orienteering was good telly. :D

I actually kind of like the off-season. It's a good opportunity to analyze what has happened through the season and gain a better understanding of the sport.

Will use the weekend for studying stuff related to my career instead of being glued to TV and Autosport. Karting twice a month, budget permitting. Play F1C again.

I watch F1 EVERY day.. now until the next race. :)

How? - I am a moderator on a certain site that streams F1 24/7, We show any f1 from the early 50's to today and show lots of F1 documentaries too. So thankfully, I have lots of classic F1 to watch to get me to the next live race. :)

In December I'll have fun laughing at doomsdayers and also I plan on having a shot at Autodesk Simulation CFD to learn some basic wing modelling :p all this while reading the 2013 F1 regs.

Oh my busy schedule!

Hopefully starting a new job in the middle of absolutely nowhere, western australia, away for looong periods of time.

On the plus side, I will be able to easily afford travelling overseas to GP's in my 10 days off in a row every 26 days, about 5 times a year at least by my calculations

Considering I live in Palm Springs it's not much of a winter. There is one blessing of being a NASCAR fan, it's also a pretty short winter. However, it's also a good time for the wife and I to make some money and see all our international friends in the Rock and Mineral business in Quartzsite Arizona. We'll be out there for six weeks living in a trailer with a big 'ol tent full of rocks , with the Aussies, the Swiss, the Nigerians, the Germans and people from all over the world and the states with industrial scale sales from everything they have mined all year. The poker parties are quite interesting. Anyone traveling through the area, please stop by.
I've also got a new Jeep that needs to be tested and the good 'ol Rhino will undoubtably be soundly thrashed.
So, won't be missing racing too much I don't think.

Ugh, I dread this time of year.

Fall weather is nearly done, NASCAR is finished, Formula One is over, baseball is nearly 5 months away, I don't like the NFL, nor hockey, and it's getting too cold to paint outside.

I'd have a couple hot toddys but I gave that up too. Bah!

Work then I guess.
