The shapes of it I really like, but the livery is a bit dull.

but painting your car asphalt grey - not ideal for maximum tv visibility :p

C32 Stealth Sauber, you'll be asking yourself where it came from when your overtaken. ;)

I'm in the 'like it' camp.

I think its a great looking car particularly shape wise, just waiting for more photos to emerge.

The whole front of the car is lower than last year. Looks like they're trying to improve their mechanical grip by lowering the center of gravity as their struggled a lot on low speed tracks. Maybe at the expent of some downforce but looking at those sidepods I don't think so.

Can someone find a shot seen from the top of the car?
It looks like the side pods have a lot smaller front end... Rear end looks also very tightly packed in.

lovely looking car. All the cars this year look nice, well with the exception of the step nose of the Lotus.

I wonder if the ugly ducking will be alone this year.

Good looking car indeed. The side vanes on the nose would deny the air from going out to the sides. They are getting downforce from this. And a lot of turbulence behind it. Will be interesting to see if it stays.

Very nice looking car this year  Sauber's livery's have been a bit dull in recent years, but this one is fantastic. The grey is surprisingly good, hope they have another good year :)

so they confirmed that they will try to run DRD. Only McLaren said that they already dropped the idea?

A very nice looking car, but I'm wondering why they moved away from their rear exhaust layout. It was arguably the best design in F1 at the beginning. It generated alot of downforce and kept the rear tyres in excellent shape. Hopefully they can keep their tyre degradation low, but I would have expected a refinement of their existing design rather than switching concept. Good luck to them though.

Hmmm, that's 4 cars that are essentially either black or a grey-type colour this year (Lotus, Merc, Sauber and McLaren). The Marussia is going to have a load of black on it as well, I suspect, and the Williams, RBRs and STRs are a dark blue sort of colour. It's not going to be that easy to differentiate many of the cars on the longer camera or overhead shots.

It reminds me 1997. Only 3 cars on the grid weren't dominated by blue/white colour combination.

Andy Green also confirmed to us yesterday that it's not currently a development thread for Force India although they did asses it late 2012 / early 2013

For me, the Force India looked better last year with the stepped nose

Cool livery. :D

But last year's was just too horrible and hilarious. I still remember someone in this forum said sth like "it looks it's been sitting under the bridge for long time"

It looks to me like they are using a vanity panel, just one with the step contoured into the inside. Otherwise you'd be able to see the step in profile, right?

Ferrari - Red
Mclaren - Chrome and Rocket red
Mercedes - Silver- Aqua marine
Lotus- Black, gold and red
Red Bull - Blue and red
Williams- Blue and white
Force India- White, Green, Red and Orange
Caterham- Green
Marussia- Red and Black
Torro Rosso - Distinctively deep blue with gold and red

SAUBER - GREY.... so it seems one.... one grey car we need.. -.-

Despite such a drastic reduction in the size of the sidepods, Morris is certain the Sauber has not over-reached itself with the design, even though it took a long time to make the packaging possible.

"Checo had quite a bad accident in Monaco a few years ago and when we got the car back and we saw the sidepod all squashed in, we thought 'I wonder if we could do that?'" said Morris.

I can't understand what people find in these almost monochrome liveries. Great for a road car, boring for a racing livery(and no I am not advocating something extravagant)

But then again I think Williams' current livery is the most boring thing imaginable and people apparently think it's fantastic.

No matter what color the car is, I'd like to see more sponsors in the "open" areas. Overall the car looks very nice and with the cars probably converging in areo perfromance as there are no "new" ideas or loopholes to exploit, the smaller sidepods might give them a little edge.

I think newey will be envious of the sidepod packaging.

Doesn't having almost no sidepod net more airflow volume to the rear than an coanda EBD?

That is a very clever way to keep the front nose aesthetics while maintaining the step for whatever aerodynamic purposes.

I have a feeling pretty much everybody will be copying this concept. (like they did with the exhausts last year)

Surely they wouldnt give a cat's bagel about aesthetics? Its to stop air spilling over the side of the nose, according to GA.

As for passive DRS they tested it in last years Young Driver test with Frijns and Gutierrez. Of course they're not gonna show it on the launch.

The Sauber as always is one of the most interesting cars when the season opens, problem is they always slow down considerably at the end of the season

Would be interesting to see a comparison between the F138 and C32, to see the differences in sidepods. The Sauber's appear tiny in comparison. A beautiful car, I love being a fan of this team.

Good point. Sometimes, it's better to have an overall slower car as long as it has particular strengths - especially in the midfield this can earn you surprise podiums. I hope the car is still good on its tyres.

Terrible livery. Grey is so 1997.

What about...

Orange?
Yellow?
Green?
Gold?
Purple?
Pink?
Blue?
Lavender?

Great car. Too bad they don't have the financial clout of the big teams. I wonder how good they could've been if they had Ferrari's budget.

Great looking car, but I have to say I absolutely don't understand why they moved away from their exhaust lay-out from last year! I always thought that was one of the main reasons for their often strong results. Obviously they believe what they have now can be better, but that must've been a bold decision.
