Seems to suggest finance difficulties. Nothing remotely concrete though. Maybe Luis will get all 4 days next week.

Razia himself says it's a money issue.

What I find interesting, is that no one have seen the typo in the first post :D

I guess it was Max Chilton, not Charles Pic that had 4 days of testing ;P However, if it is a money issue. Marussia doesn't have too much time to get another driver with more money.

I'm surprised a 'Karthikeyan to Marussia' rumour hasn't started already. Perhaps he's too fussy for the scraps now.

First post!

Looking at his twitter now he says he's in Sitges for an aero test. So either it was just a hiccup, or he's paid enough for an aero test!

Funny how Luiz Razia was the one of the drivers with the most cash/sponsorship..

It's from a series of children's books, by Martin Handford, called Where's Wally? (Waldo in America). There's a ton of the images if you google where's wally/waldo and you have to find this guy;

The Where's Wally guy is missing a trick here. He could release a series featuring ex-F1 stars who have seemed to have disappeared. Where's Heikki? Where's Vitaly? And Where's Kamui?

What gets me is F1 history is littered with ride-buyers, and people who say "I was about a million short of a drive" and so on, yet so many teams take on drivers/sponsors who never actually pay. You'd think they'd do SOME sort of due diligence first. Think of e.g. Broker Magazine, who got onto the Sauber - and then Sauber got stung again by Qadbak. Or the Nigerian prince (I mean, for Cliff's sake, how much more obvious do they have to be?) who was involved with Arrows.

Look slightly south west of center in fer312t's post :)

I'm not really sure what's going on. It might be better for Razia to stay another year in GP2 but GP2 is a series that you want to win and leave quickly. Does Marussia have any other pay drivers lined up?

Yeah, when you can't rely on ride-buyers, who can you rely on?

This pay-as-you-drive model is taking a turn for the worst. Force India hasn't announced their second driver and Luis Razia is MIA on the track.

I too wondered where he was when I saw Chilton in the car all 4 days, surely he's paid up for the entire season not just a a race by race deal :S? They officially announced him in Jerez and everything.

Surely they wouldn't expect him to set the world alight in his first test with the team :p But, as we know, everything that happens in F1 happens for a reason, it doesn't just happen.

He was overall faster than Chilton at Jerez.

Razia Marussia 1m21.226s
