Wow, watching the visible degradation on the Lotus there was so bizarre, seeing the layer shred from Middle to the inner side through a couple of corners was a great sight,
yes, left tyre was in quite bad condition especially on Romains car.

Kimi looks to be in much better shape than the rest in tyre management.

Vettel pulling off a 21 lap stint, but rears were seriously off after 16 laps or so. Trying to match lotus tyre wear?

Er, it was 21 laps for the whole session, not stint. That includes both short runs at the beginning and long runs towards the end.Vettel pulling off a 21 lap stint, but rears were seriously off after 16 laps or so. Trying to match lotus tyre wear?

last year poll was 1:36:219....we are already in 1:36:9....cars become quicker...

perhaps got too greedy about opportunities...though can't blame him....Sauber was really on a upward curve last season...Hulkenberg might be worrying a bit about his swap to Sauber right now - only a few tenths in front of Gutierrez (who got lapped last week) while FI are looking great

Any weather updates for FP2?
I figure the lack of news means it's staying dry
Posted 22 March 2013 - 05:51
It is not against the rules to run options in FP1, but 99% of the time, teams don't do that. That is because they have to return 1 set of primes back to the FIA at the conclusion of FP1. They would normally use options in FP2, where they have to return 1 set each (primes and options) to the FIA.I think he's on options

He never was in that bad form. But when his car sucks.... he does the same.Massa is really back to his best again, which is nice....Fernando will have difficult times with him this year, especially in qualifyings.

Finally anyone who can figure it out. Let's just remember in 2010 and 2012 when the car was quick, Massa was always there. The difference emerges when the car is though to drive. BTW Alonso and Hamilton are the only ones who can drive the heart out of the car even when it's undriveabble.
