Given Rosberg's pace vs Hamilton so far, I wonder how fast MSC (Old) really was in the past 3 years? (With reasons given below), I consider MSC to be pretty much evenly matched with ROS, even though due to various circumstances ROS had better results. But on raw pace, I believe MSC was +/- 0.010s. (very, very close).

So now what about Hamilton vs Rosberg? So far on every session apart from Q3, ROS has been +0.25s from HAM. Must wait to see how season progresses. But MANY, MANY people believed HAM would have blown ROS away, it didn't happen. So, ROS does appear to be a VERY, VERY fast driver, but very bad wheel-to-wheel racer, very fast raw pace, but no magical moments.

I think therefore it seems, (in hindsight) MSC was also very fast the past three ears. I'm sure he lost a lot of speed due to his age, but he was really fast enough for top-tier of modern F1. It just makes me wonder that in his prime, MSC must have been REALLY, REALLY fast. All those lap-times at Benetton and Ferrari, and races with Aryton Senna, Prost, Mansell, they must all have been true, pure speed.

Way too early to tell the difference (if there is any) between Lewis and Nico.

Lewis is not completely up to speed yet, it's gonna take him a while to completely get on top of things. I expected nico to beat lewis in the first 3 or 4 races, so I'm not surprised its as close as it is atm. And forget about who's quickest in q1 and q2, it's irrelevant.

You are VERY VERY wrong when you say many people believed Lewis will blow Nico away because that's not the case and REALLY REALLY naive to arrive at your conclusion. Wait for few more races or till end of season.

I'm pretty sure that in both these first two races, the two drivers were on different weather setups. And it seems that both times Lewis guessed wrong. We'll see their true relative pace when we finally have no chance of rain in qualifying and the race.

Who cares about Q anymore? Race pace is more important:

Last year MS destroyed Nico in Malaysia.
