Perhaps it's because I live in Canada but after several failed attemps to purchase a Nuvolari Tortoise from the Nuvolari Museum gift shop, my efforts have turned to this forum. Would anyone in the world know of a way to buy a replica of this tortoise in the form of a pin, paperweight or badge without having to re-mortgage the house? For those who may not know, Tazio Nuvolari was presented with a gift from one of Italy's most famous writer / poet. A gold tortoise with raised "T" and "N" on it's back. He was quoted as saying the following as he gave the gift to Nuvolari..." To the worlds fastest man, the worlds slowest animal". Nuvolari adopted the tortoise as his logo. When racing, he wore a yellow turtleneck pullover with this logo on it.

And.....  You motorcycle guys out there, Motorcycle News magazine is the only place I have ever seen the poster of Kenny Roberts YZR700 at full song bottoming out on the banks of Daytona in 1984. It is the best bike shot I have ever seen, that's it below my nickname.I can't buy it from the magazine and can't find it anywhere. Can anybody help?

Thanks

<<<< You mean one of these? :)

Yes, it appears the museum will only ship to Europe - with a standard shipping charge of 15 euro - the same price as the brass badge!

About ten years ago someone was selling reasonably priced modern copies of Tazio's tortoise pin badge (and also tiepins IIRC) on Italian eBay, but those seem to have disappeared - presumably they got hit with a copyright suit.

Yep... That's the one. I'd love to get my mitts on a badge, looks like I'll have to visit the museum. There are worst things to do I suppose.
