About 12 years ago I bought the BRM V-16 spark plug box from Colin Crabbe.  After my accident in 2012, my 2 year recovery and move to the mountains left me without the information he sent me about the box.  Would anybody know how I could find him so as to get this information again?

Thanks much guys.

About 1979-1980 I was in England buying a MG K type chassis and bits from Peter Green. Following this I set off on a trip around England buying parts.  One of the businesses I dealt with was "Antique Automobilist" and, of course, met Colin Crabbe in the process.  I have a photograph somewhere that he took of me sitting in the Auto Union Grand Prix car that his company had just restored, following his finding it in the Soviet Union is how I remember the story.  However, I was under oath to never publish  the photo while the owner (or Peter?) were alive.  Since I seem to have lost he photo this is moot...

Colin invited me back to his house for lunch, where his very pregnant wife served us G&Ts and incredibly thin cucumber sandwiches.  It is a moment I will always remember!

His autobiography is due out soon from Dalton Watson publishers. It should be a good read!

I've sent him a message on Facebook but so far no response. The name Rufus T Firefly and a timeline filled with photos of my dog may have him thinking I'm not somebody to respond to.

Quite unrelated to this topic apart from its Colin Crabbe related but his teams Wikki entry says they were offered an ex-works Ferrari 312 F1 car to run in 1971 after Ronnie departed for the works March but turned down the chance. I was looking up details of Vic Elfords Mclaren when I happened upon this nugget. Anyone else know anything about that rumour?

An enjoyable chat, from around the time Thrill of the Chase was published, between Colin and Nic Waller, with various interesting still photographs etc.. I'd forgotten about the GT40 days and, at around 6.30, there are two pictures of his big shunt at Silverstone. The photographer in the foreground of the second photo seems rather blasé..."what's the big deal? I've got lots of flying GT40 shots already....."
