Off to Anglesey circuit tomorrow for the memorial meeting

I had hoped to do the full meeting but circumstances mean I will have to do an early start tomorrow as first race is scheduled 9:00 am

Going myself tomorrow.

There's an hour's  church break at about 3pm tomorrow and I believe there's a gathering on track to celebrate Tom Pryce. All are invited to take part.

Victoria Turner tells me that although the BBC Wales programme is no longer available on iPlayer there is a tv documentary in the works. There is a small Tom Pryce exhibition in the circuit office this weekend.

Well I enjoyed myself.

The exhinition was similar to that at Denbigh but with the odd addition (e.g the chapter from the Formula Ford book)

There was a minutes applause to celebrate Tom's life on the start line.

The program featured a new picture by Andrew Kitson and indicated that a fund was been launched for a statue in Denbigh (on what would have been Tom's 70th birthday).

NB It was my first visit to the Anglesey circuit and it was great to be able to walk around the circuit to see the different views it offered

Part of the tribute on the startline.

I think they did an excellent job to try and appeal to the enthusiast and the general public. It really needed an hour to tell his story properly. Says a lot about Tom that Sir JYS wanted to pay tribute.

I have just seen it on BBC's iPlayer.  Some great footage and a well presented programme.  I will watch it again I am sure in a few days or so.

For what it is worth I recently bought a lovely photo on eBay of Tom racing his works Formula Three Royale in 1972, dicing with Roger Williamson and Mike Walker.  It arrived this morning.

Beautiful, and sad. I had never heard Tom’s voice. He was one of my early very few favourites, I recall that fateful day as today. It does make you ponder.

Haven’t watched a single lap this year and don’t miss it one bit, but to see again that oversteer out of Druids, what I would give.

A good 30minutes watch, made especially poignant by having been present myself at many of the UK races - and I won't be alone in that on here. Lots of footage  I had never seen before . Seeing a relatively youthful Raymond Baxter , in cravat at Brands 76 confirms the past really is a different country. And crikey , didn't we stand so close to the track at Silverstone?

A few cavils - some irrelevant footage cut and pasted in , frequent wrong engine noise for car on track , simply dreadful music soundtrack and a voice over guy who was in training for a Richard Burton soundalike competition .

But a good watch , and deeply moving

Watched it on Iplayer from Europe today.

As usual with this type of program there were many little niggles that were wrong, I can cope with the sound stuff OK, but I guess this is the norm for these sort of shows. Loved the Massey Ferguson stuff, driving tractors etc, was a great little insight and isn't his wife a simply lovely lady in so many ways.

I often wonder why people who make these shows do not come on places like this and ask the opinion of people, just for background, colour etc. They would certainly help with detail in many ways.

Just checking the on-line Autosport story on Gary Pearson who said that his wish list was to drive a DN5 (Tom Pryce car). The on-line version of the story has a photo of the car I don't recall seeing before. It is behind the paywall so I will try and describe it: definitely a 1975 car shown alone having just done a left hander and set up for another left hander: there are many trees around and a few people spectating amoung them. My hunch is the Nordschleife but does anyone recognise it?

NB The print version shows a different picture (Monaco)
