Vandoorne 11 0 0 0

Alonso (and well, Vandoorne too!) is the only driver who came cleanly through the season. Just considering penalties with any impact on qualifying or race the same would apply for Hamilton too. Alonso is falling short of the top value as he missed out the Bahrain GP. Kvyat was the driver with the most penalty points, score and most number of impacted races. The new world champion was a good bet too.

Thanks to Palmers collision M2000-5 keeps his lead (over the whole season!) and becomes the inaugural winner of the Penalty Competition
When Hamilton was caught speeding in the pitlane Grayson took temporary over the lead . In the end a impressive runner-up
scheivlak ends the season after an impressive catch-up in third

(whole overview)

thegforce scored three times this year, all of them were enough for the seasons top 10. I'm considering to limit a bit for next year the spendable amount of points on one driver and also try to make the 'no penalty' option a bit more appealing Suggestions to improve the game are always very welcome!

Phew that was close!

Congrats to Grayson and scheivlak, tough opponents they are in every single game.

I think one of them will take the Supercup.

Thank you marklar for running the game.

As for the limit on the amount of points used on a driver I think it's not necessary. 3 out of the 21 races seems to be quite lucky and the points scored were less than our best season result in Russia. I think in general over the season it won't cause a problem.

It's more like 3 out of 11 races, cause in the first half of the season i gambled on "no penalties". My first race was Britain, i think.

However, next year is my year, even with limits! :p

And a suggestion would be to change the start value of new drivers to 20 instead of 10. Or keep the start value at 10 but increase the value by 2 for the first five races of new drivers.

And maybe there should also be an upper limit for the driver value, maybe 30?

The no penalty score could grow by 50 points per race and be set back to 1000 points if "no penalties" occurs.

This is a good idea. The only issue I have right now is that it seems like a penalty free weekend is far too unlikely to happen: We didnt had any in 2015 or in 2016, so having just this option seems to be rather pointless.

This is why I was considering to also offer the option to bet on just the race itself to be without a penalty (happened twice this year), could also grow by 50 points per race and be set back to 500 whenever no penalties are applied in a race. Same for all other sessions combined (happened three times this year).

If we are applying this to this season these would be the offers for each race

I'm not sure if this would work out well. I think then the drivers will be all pretty close together which makes it a bit pointless to have values for them in the first place.
