Scribble Live is the tool which powers the live coverage - I presume you've been on the page with the live coverage of the final day of the Barcelona test?

If you've got any more info about what Kaspersky is telling you (or a screenshot), could you share that with me so that I can ask our developers to look into this?

Hi Simon, I got so cheesed off that I altered the settings in Kaspersky to allow the data collection on Autosport which has at least made the machine usable. I've been on the live coverage all of this test as well as the first too and have not encountered the problems seen this morning.
The only information that Kaspersky was giving me, Web analytics - ScribbleLive - blocked 480 attempts to collect data. There is clearly nothing dangerous within, for Kaspersky would block anyway, I just get paranoid to see so many in 4 hours which haven't been evident on other days.

Not sure it's a dodgy advert, as Malwarebytes is blocking content - but this only started happening today

For the last few months I've been experiencing an intermittent problem with 'expanding' ads on my mobile (Safari on iPhone6, in the UK). If there are sufficient posts between the ad and the reply box the effect is minimal as the ad stays behind the posts, which can still be read:

IMG_2968.png

If, however, the ad is close to the reply box, its expansion covers the reply box and makes it very difficult to type a reply:

IMG_2967.png

As I said, the ad expansion is intermittent - I'd say it happens around 50% of the time - and quite often causes no problem as the reply box is still accessible. It is very frustrating, though, when the reply box does get covered.

I and others have reported this problem on a number of occasions since my first report quoted above, but it’s still happening. This morning I opened two consecutive threads on my mobile in which I was unable to post as an ad was completely covering the reply box. The problem seems to have got worse in recent weeks. Can nothing be done?

They don't cause technical problems that I can tell, but "Asia Charm" ads for "girls" and "lots of gorgeous woman" ... really?

I mean, really?

Or has someone hacked Autosport's Toronto-area ad server?

Hmmm.

Now the "Asia Charm" ads are appearing both as banners and alongside posts.

Assume that this doubling down has occurred with no reference to my post above...

Is there someone from the admin crew ready to respond, or are y'all still collating?

Joking about targeting aside, these sort of ads should never appear on Autosport.

If you're seeing them, please could you send me a screenshot and (if you don't mind clicking on them), the URL which you're being sent through to?

Z, have you ever clicked on an image posted in a forum? If you have, then depending on how it was linked it either pops up a higher resolution image or takes you to the link site. That was the case with some airplane images posted in that forum.

I can't visit the forums by phone anymore. I get this pop up adverts saying I won a phone or whatever, sometimes the phone buzzes and sometimes not. But I have to force quit and clear the cache. It happens both with chrome and Samsung's own, and it only happens on this site.

I only had Autosport open when I got a red screen telling me I had a problem with Chrome. It seems to be a currently active malware (something *.win).

My antivirus just flashed a threat linked to exchangeinterface.global.ssl.fastly.net (infected by JS:ScriptIP-inf (Trj). It's a Trojan Horse.

This was while loading the Toro Rosso topic on Racing Comments.

On my phone i’ve been getting auto-redirected to the iOS App Store by Sky Betting and Sky Casino ads for the last few days.

1/4 of pages dump me out of Safari to try and get me to buy their scummy betting apps.

Yep, I’m also starting to get some redirects on iOS/Safari on both iPhone and iPad.

First redirect is always to a “base64” with a long string address, then a redirect again to

The dodginess that is annoying recently is not of any particular advert, but the fact that adverts cover up the "quote" and "like this" buttons.

I’ve not seen one of these for a while, but this just popped up uninvited:

When I clicked ‘Close’ I was taken here:

The only way I was able to get rid of this page was to manually type a different web address into the box.

The associated URL is:

I’m using an iPhone 6 running Safari, in the UK.

Thanks Tim - that's very thorough so I hope that's enough info for our ad tech team to identify the malicious ad provider who is letting these slip through!

Apologies again that we're doing such a slow job of stamping these out.

The pop up ads have gotten way out of hand, and I’m going to have to take a break from the forum because I can’t handle it anymore

I can’t browse a page for more than 10 seconds without being treated to a pop up ad that forcibly redirects me to another site claiming I have been selected to win a $1000 Amazon.com gift card. Pressing the ‘back’ button removes the pop-up only for a more aggressive redirect to occur. They escalate from offering a ‘special gift’, to offering a free iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, to then offering a service titled ‘Local Sex Finder’, a page offering ‘women looking for long-term relationships’, and finally a page titled ‘Well Hello’ asking me to select from three pictures of women’s exposed breasts and genitals. The last is from the following link:

http://congratulatio...=0&rwidth=0&e=4

I’ve had enough. I thought Autosport had more class than this but clearly not. Selling your integrity is not a sustainable strategy.

Especially odd, considering (no joke) I don't watch porn. I'd imagine they'd be better off targeting someone more easily persuaded by such material. ;)

Our ads guys have promised me that they're working on this today.

We're only serving ads through the big exchanges which are supposed to be reliable (including Google, but also companies like Rubicon and Pubmatic who aren't household names). The problem seems to be that scammers and fraudsters are tricking their way onto the schedule of the big ad networks. By the time they're caught (and removed) you guys have already seen them multiple times.

The ones that were getting through on the weekend should all have been blocked. Can you let me know if you see any more? We're looking for a permanent solution to this rather than playing whack-a-mole with these all of the time...

Still getting hammered by the pop-up redirecting ads that trigger the ‘Local Sex Finder’ when hitting the back button, in addition to the others. Had to avoid one six times just in the process of writing this post. I am now starting a link repository for these. Any update on this issue yet? They’re starting to cause Safari on my phone to crash.

My gripe is not one of annoying adverts, but the fact that subscription to Autosport Plus is supposed to remove advertising. Instead, what I've got is an Autosport Plus only advert in disguise as an article.

https://www.autospor...omas-cook-sport

This is an advert for Thomas Cook, and a very cynical way to take advertising to the subscribers who pay to not get advertising.

Poor job guys! Either give content free to everybody with adverts, or do as you claim and take a subscription which removes ALL advertising.
