I'm going with a couple of friends to the Red Bull Ring this year, GA and camping for all 4 days.

There was some info in this thread from last year (http://forums.autosp...ecommendations/ ) but I have a few additional questionS:

- Can you walk round the whole circuit with GA? From maps it only seems to be Turns 1 to 3... (on Fridays in particular I like to see sessions from the whole track)

- Are there any shuttle buses to local towns, such as Knittelfeld? There's only so much fast food I can take so I'd like to know if I can go somewhere civilised for proper food...

- Is the pit walk on Thursday usually open to all there, or do you need to book in advance?

- Any other advice?? (apart from the obvious... my ponchos are already bought!)

Cheers in advance!

Have a look at this cute Styrian cartoon and maybe you can deduce where you can go and what services there are.

Back when I went you could roam around wherever you wanted.

Don't know if it is still there but I went to a restaurant called Don Camillo in Knittelfield.

Tasty stuff....

I am next year so any handy hints you can provide will be gratefully received :p
As for shuttlebuses - there are apparantly some to and from Knittelsfeld train station as that is how I'm hoping to get to the track next year as I'm not able to camp and having to try and use public transport to get myself to the circuit.

Have fun!!!

No worries, will do :)

Yeah I looked into the costs of commuting in everyday from Graz and it was too much, so we're camping instead.
