If you can measure the BSFC at about 5150 rpm, you might back calculate from the torque and power curves.

What's this for - a new engine invention or project? If you can make something useful there are tens of millions (maybe a billion) of similar layout engines running in Asia - one of the common generic types is the GY6 - which apparently is loosely based on an SOHC Honda. So - plenty of opportunity for sales.

Yeah, but in a low cost environment. Incidentally I think even the third world countries are moving towards banning 2 strokes.

I am working on a cylinder head design to be marketed to Grom owners  . a proportion of owners are happy to double the original purchase price for a fashion leading bike

With the ubiquitous GY6 all manner of aftermarket hotting-up gear is available - big bore kits, cams, exhausts, carbs etc. right up to 4 valve heads and (I have heard) superchargers. With such a huge market even a tiny percentage of people buying something adds up to a lot of sales. The GY6 has a cult following in the U.S. even having drag race meetings etc.

Kelpie ,

among my collection of engines there is a 150cc scooter motor from Taiwan . I shall have a look and see if its a GY6 version

also as an indication of the hot up culture in stralya
