The front nose gold band reminds me of the MP4-30.

Got a heavy SPM vibe from the overalls. Other than that, I‘m not a huge fan. It looks decent, but nothing special. Also, they lifted the nose straight from the Lotus cars of earlier in the decade.

Not as cool as I'd hoped it would be. Nicer than last years Haas though, but weaker than the 2018 Red Bull livery.

reverse US flag on the renders!

On aircraft you usually put the flag the way it would fly. This makes it reverse on the right side, they could be going for the same here.
Here is Air Force One as an example.

And Haas has done it previously.

I'm confused. I thought it was just a new livery, but it clearly has new stuff, how?

The livery is meh. It's a Lotus with inferior gold elements for me. But then again it's a upgrade for sure.

Literally all the 'fan art' concepts were better.

That looks like a 5 minute MsPaint job.

Splodge. Splodge. Done.

I'm a little disappointed with it tbh. It's just black and not much else. The gold is too sparse (didn't know that was possible until now), the sponsor logo colours clash all over, the scoop band on the nose reminds me of the black MP4-30 which makes it feel even more generic.
I may be the odd one out, but I really liked the red, grey, white.

Pretty basic, isn't it? Looks decent enough not to be bad but that's about it.

reverse US flag on the renders!

It's reversed on that side because the stars must always face in the direction of travel, according to military uniform flag use.

Yep. The flag on the port side will look correct way. Similar to military applications.

When I see the front I see Lotus.

The thing I like from the livery is the Rich energy logo on the Halo.

The rest is more like White > black AND red > white

I like the livery. Plain and simple works for me. Splashing a load of colours on the car doesn't make it faster.

I quite like it - less is more.  It looks better than the recent gold Lotuses.

It'll be interesting to see how the gold-and-silver combination works on track.

Looks to me from the livery (or lack thereof) that HAAS is hedging its bets on whether RICH ENERGY will be around for the full season...

That's a new car, not just a new livery

Without any thorough comparison my guess would be that it's the 2018 chassis with some new aero bits to suit the 2019 look. It's a pretty standard solution for these kind of events when you can't and/or don't want to show the whole thing too soon.

The only Haas livery I've liked is probably the one they started 2017 with, but that lasted about four races. Last year they just seemed to go back to the 2016 colour scheme.

This......um, need to see it on track. It's not dire.

Wow, the salt in the forum is just wow.

The car looks amazing. I like the incorporation of the stag in the livery.

I do not care for who the sponsor is, the artist behind the car is good.

Haas F1 team will BEAT Red Bull this season, according to team’s sponsors, Rich Energy

Storey: "We are confident we will beat Red Bull in many races this year. That is holy grail marketing but sometimes you get a bit of serendipity and right timing."
"Red Bull have spent £250billion in F1 and last year across Toro Rosso and Red Bull, there or there abouts, £400million"
"Ultimately, we are going to have a better-looking car."

That is terribly written. Story speaks quite well, they can't have been his exact words.

I understand sometimes less is more. But this is black with three edge tip lines (engine cover, front wing end plates), and a reused scoop down the nose. The rest is just slapped on.

I'm not even convinced that the placement of RE name on the roll hope air intake will translate to being easily visible on track at speed and angle. The only stand out is the Haas name,as with previous years.

Oh, and golden mirrors. It's lacklustre even for minimal.

The "artist" barely did anything here. It looks like half an hour's worth of work.

Meh, I neither hate nor love the livery. Black is just a very boring colour. I hope Renault uses more yellow than black this year.

So you are a fan of cars over-plastered with commercials. Good for you. For all the reasons that you mentioned I like it. I like to see a car that is not heavily dependent on sponsors or a billboard on wheels. Much like the Audi's of Le Mans.

The renders online are from the 2019 challenger, that's not the 2018 car.

Rich Energy - Poor Livery

Dull as dishwater but it suggests Rich energy have paid enough to warrant a colour switch away from HAAS’ own brand so the money must be there from that deal.

I suspect it’s white so it’s actually visible.

If you remember the 2011 Lotus:

Lotus-renault-gp-r31-picture-2011-1.jpg

It began life very much a black and gold car but under certain light it was hard to see as it’s not particularly contrasting.

Fast forward we had a black and cream lotus:

f1-abu-dhabi-gp-2012-race-winner-kimi-ra

Rich energy must have insisted on chrome gold.

£250 billion in what 20 years? So that's £12.5 billion a year. This guy's a fruit loop....

I'm not sure you can call finishing when the other car breaks down beating (technically it is) but beating them on merit?

Looks menacing, I quite like it. Also, its often very rightly said that liking or not liking is a very subjective thing and hence not everyone can be pleased. I am sure that aesthetics would have been looked at carefully but sponsor requests need to be catered as well. In terms of design those sidepods look slick and so reminiscent to last year's Ferrari. It'll be very interesting to see where HAAS stack this current season with Renault on the up, Force India with better financial stability and McLaren reestablishing itself but also Williams should not be forgotten. I think HAAS will have a difficult year because Sauber with Raikkonen should also be a big threat. In short, midfield battle is going to be mega this season and I have a feeling HAAS might not be as strong as last couple of seasons however I wish the team and driver's best of luck for 2019.

Does anyone know if they’re still receiving Ferrari’s blue prints from the previous season or was it just the first couple?
