I think one for this league is a smart move. No hedging bets or any of that nonsense with 3 teams each...

Fully agreed, making 3 teams is pretty much against the whole point of the game for me.

Pick a team of 5 drivers and 1 constructor from a $100m budget. Your team will score points based on the team members' actual performance in the Grand Prix. You must also select a turbo driver for each team, who will score double points, for each race.

Initially, a valid team must cost $100m or less. There are no restrictions on how many drivers can be used from a particular team.

I don't get it. Is it mean I can have more than 5 drivers?

No.

Choose 1 constructor and 5 drivers. total must be less than $100m. You then choose one of your 5 drivers to be the "turbo"

You can swap one driver per race for free, every further swap will cost you ten points from the points you earned in the game. There are also two wildcards, if you use one ahead of a race weekend, you can select a completely new team.

Now I get it.

And the point scoring is described here https://fantasy.form.../points-scoring . Generally, all drivers earn points depending on their race and qualifying result, but a bad result (DNQ or DNF) can mean that you lose points.

It depends on the league, some allow only one team while in others you can play with two or three at the same time.

Kimi as my ‘turbo’ driver... so picked up resonable points from him and Lewis.

Should have picked Bottas!

That bloody Ricciardo. Didn't realise that the driver that you make the turbo doubles lost points as well. Has a hell of an impact if a driver doesn't finish. -15 + 2 = -13 double that 'cos he's the turbo gives -26. :down:

Hadn't realised that there were so many in this league. 368. I'm 247th so it can still get worse :eek: :lol: :rotfl:

I have already made some substitutes. Binned off giovanazzi and Noris. Sitting in the lower part of the table.

The tab that tells you how your score is made up is quite interesting. Quite a bit goes into it...

Some interesting permutations leading the global rankings. Top 1% means nothing when you've got so many people, but I think some of those teams just got a lucky break, and will come back to the field next week. Still, I was intrigued by some of the team selections. The field is so tight in the back this year, that I think there'll be a lot of volatility at the top. A critical Turbo selection will make or break a winning effort. Great season for F1 to introduce their own fantasy league.

Lost 22 positions in the Autosport league this weekend. And 25000-odd in the global league.

Ricciardo giving me negative-score again this weekend.

Made some big changes for the next race.
