Is the iPhone app being phased out, or is it just woefully neglected?

Should I just delete the iPhone app? I feel like it's such an inferior experience even to the mobile web browser now. The new related and recommended links at the bottom of each article open separately in the web browser when selected, so you're taken completely away from the app. Also, there's still no simple "back" button in the app that would be one of the simplest things to implement, so if there's a linked article that you click on, you have to go all the way back to the home page and then to the category page to find where you were before. I liked having a dedicated Autosport icon to tap on my phone to get straight to my favourite content, but it just feels like nobody is keeping an eye on this thing.

Has it ever been anything other than a half-hearted attempt at displaying the website?  :well:

I tried to use it, but the back issue you describe was too frustrating...

My issues with the Autosport app - the place where I mostly read/engage with Autosport/the forum are plentiful.

1. Everytime I click on the app to open it, it takes AGES to load the stories, often it just hangs.

2. If I read a story then click on a related news story, it often opens it in my safari app browser not in the AS app

3. No search facility - if I'm just looking for a Formula E story or something

4. Any articles that have a video, won't let me shut the video and land back in the app. Have to close the video

5. Sometimes I click on a story and it doesn't open or opens in browser or messed up

6. The Account page layout is not resized for iphone

7. Cannot change orientation from portrait to landscape

8. Cannot choose categories - in the old AS app I could get rid of all Motorbike news, don't think I can now

Basically this app is not good by modern standards and wondering if Motorsport is better value?

Rinehart, since Grayson's departure, I don't think this website forum is being looked at at all. However, apps are no longer updated, see this thread. https://forums.autos...-on-iphone-app/

Considering I subscribe to AS+ because its ADVERTISED AT THE POINT OF SALE as available on desktop and mobile, I think the lack of app support/fixes is pretty bad. Considering a switch to Motorsport.com app....

The app was always of lesser quality than direct access to the site. I dumped it years ago.
