Heya Racing aficionados. I'm making this thread so we have a space where we can share all GT3 stuff. And I mean ALL GT stuff. Blancpain Sprint and Endurance, Blancpain America and Asia, Intercontinental GT, 24Hour Series, ADAC GT Masters, Australian GT, British GT, International GT Open, the GTs from WEC, IMSA, ELMS you name it.

First race of the newly rebranded Pirelli World Challenge as Blancpain GT World Challenge America is going green this weekend over at COTA in the heart of Texas; tune in on Youtube for some much needed heartfelt racing.

Cheers

After such a fantastic opening round of the Intercontinental GT Championship at Mount Panorama I've been really looking forward to round 2 at Laguna Seca next week but haven't been able to find an entry list. The website (https://www.intercon.../116/laguna-seca) hasn't even got a provisional list and just say's it's "not available" even with the race only 8 days away.  Anyone know who's going to turn up yet ?

New schedule (local time, CET):
Qualifying at 12:30 (in 60 minutes)
Race at 15:20

And the race will been shortened to 2 hours and 45 minutes.

I think that's what they just said in the broadcast.

Ouch! I was riding along with the #917 Porsche as it was chasing the #960, and all of a sudden there was a spun car facing the wrong way in the middle of Adenauer Forst. Both Porsches went off the track in avoidance and the #917 is now retiring at Ex-Mühle.

Edit: It got going again. Slooowly.

Post race investigation of that drama

Hindy et al. were wondering how the hell the Manthey Porsche lost both the lead and seven seconds to the Rowe BMW in such a short time...

A high quality field with representatives for outright GT3 honours from 8 manufacturers (Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Bentley, BMW, Nissan, Honda and Ferrari) although I'd have liked to see the new McLaren 720S GT3 entered by someone. I'm surprised there aren't a few more GT4 entries but it promises to be a good event anyway.

I'm just looking at the session timing info (because I missed the session being still in bed) at

can someone explain the comment about the second Bentley.

"Car #107 - All times deleted - car went behind the wall" as I missed it.  Does this mean it can even start ?

There are only 16 cars on the published list  https://www.intercon...?meeting_id=116  and they aren't included.

Thanks

The 8 hour race i can't get excited or interested about at all, i want too. But 20 car's for the race is awful means it will get boring quickly  & i will lose interest in it fast. Does anyone know why there is such a poor turnout for this race. I know the Mugello 12 hours is also this weekend is that partly the reason?

Any of you have an opinion of the race so far ? Got to watch the first 3 hours with the race providing ambient background.

Will get to see the last 2 or 1.5 hours of it, for I went for a bit of evening socializing downtown.

So far the highlight for me was seeing Laguna Seca being green at this early Spring.

Needless to say Ov that my highlight has been Christina and Baumann clawing back the damage Christaloudo does during each of his stints.

The Super GT season will start this weekend at Okayama *. Making their GT racing debut are young European former F3 drivers Álex Palou and Sacha Fenestraz in the GT300 class alongside young Japanese former F2 driver Nirei Fukuzumi. https://supergt.net/...19/Round1/gt500

The race will start 40 minutes before the F1 race at Shanghai. And there will hopefully be a live stream on youtube.com/letsgoracing **.
