2. Choose new driver for any other race and bump original selection of that race to Abu Dhabi.
3. If there is a second new driver mid-season, it is possible to select that driver to replace any of the remaining selections.

So, if I understand it correctly, I can choose a driver before the start of every weekend. Previous chosen drivers are taken off the pool of available drivers, until I end up with a single driver in Brazil.
I don't have to choose all drivers before the start of the season, right?

Here are the standings after the opening race. Costaz was only one to pick Bottas which gives the lead. Three members with DNF, which obviously will harm them.

Wow I just realised I made a terrible mistake. Clearly didn’t read the rules properly, or at all! So instead of selecting the best drivers for each race I selected what I thought would be the worst.
Probably just read it as ‘pick a driver for each race, fewest points wins’
Ah well, should be fun to see how my predictions turn out at the end of the year
Would be hilarious if you won.

Vettel was again a popular pick in Bahrain - and 5th place isn't very good by his standards.
KWSN - DSM was the only one to pick Hamilton, while Costaz was robbed second win in two races with Leclerc's problems.
On the other end, thegforcemaybewithyou had Hülkenberg and Barty Grosjean - retirements gave them high scores.
Standings after Bahrain GP:
As of now, I plan to make two forecasts after Azerbaijan GP
- One with each driver according to their WDC position
- One with each driver according to their average position
Posted 16 April 2019 - 05:48
No driver was dominating China picks - Leclerc having three was the most. Anyway, not a very surprising race apart from two DNFs which included Kvyat who was picked twice. At this point of the season, places in standings change a lot. No one retained the spot held after previous race.

It would be cool if your forecast would also include the sum of the deviations from the median results for all the entries.
The deviations for Gasly for the first races would be the following:
Results 11 8 6 -> Median is 8
If someone went for Gasly in the first race, the difference to the median would be +3, 0 for the second race and -2 for China.

Sainz and Leclerc were the most popular picks in Spanish GP. 8th place for the local hero was good considering he's driving for McLaren. 5th for Leclerc was quite normal position for him.
On the top and bottom of the picks, Hamilton was selected by f1paul and Barty, so the best possible result for them. Tough luck for alekracing who selected Norris.
The current standings and three mathematical forecasts. Note that the current leader is not on top of any despite hefty lead - that's what selecting two Mercedes, two Ferraris and Verstappen in first five races has done.

Kubica was the most popular pick in Canada, probably thanks to his win 11 years ago. Well, it ended up normal race for him as he was last finisher. Only two DNFs so not much help on the overall position. Meanwhile, Hamilton and Stroll were selected three times each and both achieved great results.
Championship leader KWSN - DSM picked Magnussen so this weekend closed the gap in front.

I added tie-breaker into the standings. Ricciardo's point-per-average would now give him 48 points for the season so the difference is counted to that number. Makarias is now the leader in two of the forecasts and 2nd behind Costaz in one because of tie-breaker.
