For interest I see there is an Aussie built Milano GT for sale in the UK for only GBP 85K (or approx. AUD 160K)

This probably more than Dick Willis got when he sold the car....

There are some marvellous period photos in the ad. I hope someone here can post them separately with some descriptions.

I sold it for approx $1700 AUD in 1966, didn't realise the potential it had then, Just as well I kept the pics etc to pass on to future owners.

I have its brother here at the moment but fitted with a Holden 'Grey" motor which I would cheerfully sell for MUCH less than 85,000 pounds.

How near to original do you reckon it is now, Dick?

Wheels look a tad wide, for instance...

(at least, he will be if it sells for that - asking is one thing, getting is another)

Look like a reverse widened 15x6?

Did it still have FJ hubs, drums etc when you sold it Dick? Or updated to 13" style?

Lee, current wheels are 6 x 13, it would be better with 15" items. FJ or FE hubs, Cortina disc and callipers at the front, rear drums.

FJ and FE hubs are totally different...

And I think FE hubs were lighter than FC.
