From non-F1 podiums, 1997 San Remo Rally in WRC comes to mind. Subaru team mates Piero Liatti, in his home land, and Colin McRae were driving to a nice 1-2 finish, in that order. Liatti had never won his home rally in WRC and this would have been obviously a big deal for him and for the Italian fans. Only problem was that McRae still had a shot at the World Championship so Subaru had to get McRae ahead of Liatti. This meant that Liatti had to stop right before the finish of the last stage, but despite this, Liatti still somehow ended up ahead. So Subaru had to stop Liatti at the final time control and literally force him to book in late to move McRae ahead in the results.
At the finish ramp McRae & co-driver Nicky Grist got a pretty massive whistling concert from the Italians and were visibly very uncomfortable about the whole thing. Unfortunately for Liatti he never won his home WRC event and McRae ended up losing the Championship to Tommi Mäkinen by one point.
This was basically the same as if Fisico had been leading Monza one year and then forced to park the car right before the finish line on the last lap so that Alonso can win and score a couple more points in the Championship.
