Still weird to see these "GP3 type" cars on this track.

Still weird to see these "GP3 type" cars on this track.
With such big wings I don't sure if they could get close to each others in turn 1 / 2 . I am afraid the race would become another high speed parade like modern F1.

F1 tracks have become too perfect and the cameras too smooth and stabilized. The black and yellow blur from the armco during the onboard shots looked frighteningly fast.

It did. No further action. "The marshalling panel was still not activated. Car 30's in-car video, when compared to Car 15's, showed the double yellow flags were less visible to Car 30 than they had been to Car 15 and were not clearly visible until he was very close to the apex of the corner." So "in the view of the Stewards there was insufficient time for Car 30 to react to those flags".What might save Ticktum from a penalty is the fact that the marshal was having a problem waving the flags.

Magical lap from Vips. Also great to see an emerging talent from a country not synonymous with Motorsport. Go Estonia!
Good to see more diversity. But perhaps Estonia was flying under the radar. Back in Soviet times, the Estonia Soviet Socialist Republic (yuk) was the centre of Soviet motorsport. I believe the Soviet People's racing car was called an Estonia, or possibly it was the national race series. Or something. The works Lada rally cars often had drivers with suspiciously non-Russian (and suspiciously Finnish-sounding) names. So there may be more of a tradition there than we realised. And anyway, aren't they just Finns in drag?

Putting aside Ticktum's attitude (which I don't think is necessarily coming out in his comments here), I must admit that the run down to Lisboa on lap 1 will make me slightly nervous. The track modifications should prevent a Floersch-esque accident from happening ever again, which is to be applauded, but there is still scope for a lot of chaos down there and the faster cars only increase the risk of this.

I agree with his sentiment here tbh. I think the addition of DRS is so unnecessary, from both a racing and safety point of view.
I don't actually like the way these cars look, either. For such a similar spec, the old F3 car looked like a proper racing car (to me). This GP3 just looks like a toy car. But bugger me are they quick.
Hoping for a safe weekend, and hopefully a well contested fight. The DRS 'could' make things interesting, but I think it'll just come down to who is in second place on the last lap. It will be undefendable.

Below is a map with the new corner numbers as they will appear in race control's messages. All approximate and unofficial, apologies for any errors.
And here's a map with marshal posts:

"The car itself around here simply is not quite as nice to drive because of the weight," Ticktum added.https://www.autospor...gerous-in-macau

It's not as nice to watch as the old F3 car either. Neither at Macau or at Monza.

Some of those Asian WTCR-drivers have the coolest names ever.
Like, KaTo and Wong.
Its especially hilarious that something went W®ong with Wong's car.
Consider me a fan of those two from now on.

Just a Quick question, does anybody else have issues using the livestream Iphone app to cast to a chromecast? The tv shows the livestream app and then just nothing, the app says “unable to cast to ’name of device’”

Works from Opera on the laptop to the TV, crisis averted.
