Which is the Autocourse that is worth a lot because most of the stock was destroyed?

I believe it is 1978/79 with the Lotus of Andretti on the cover.

I remember being told that but copies are cropping up for less than £100 on ebay regularly. The one that really stings is the 1964 edition with John Surtees on the dustcover.

I always thought that the 2-part 1960 edition was the rarest and would inflicted most pain on my wallet.  This was before the hardcover editions of course.

The story I have heard about the '78/79 being so expensive (at least for quite a long time) is because of it being Andretti's world title season, this particular edition being very much in demand in the USA as well: Andretti had a lot of fans at the time.

Similar kind of story that I've heard about the 1995 Le Mans yearbook. Because of the winning car being the McLaren F1 and that car at the time having a rediculous fan appeal the '95 Le Mans book ending up with many collectors who were into that car and collectables related with it.
