Do you mean in terms of originality, that is, it greatly resembles liveries of other racing vehicles?

Although it looks beautiful, there already was a thread for that kind of thing...

Luckily we have published rules in the OP, and thankfully only four of them.

 

 

Rules

• Only images created using templates provided above will be entered in the voting process.
• Please don't modify the template. An exception can be made for things like changing the colour of the rims or tyre markings.
• Don't copy already existing designs. Of course the line between copying and adapting can be thin but do try to make it your own design as much as possible.
• In the end, any disputable cases will be judged by the forum moderators.

This is a Subaru Impreza WRC car of 2000s vintage.

• Base colour is the same.
• There is no additional livery elements.
• Sponsor logos are the same. (Motul, Kenwood, Snap-on, etc)

By rule 4 I am empowered as a moderator to make a decision.

I consider this of to be an entry of good technical merit, but I'm sorry to rule it completely non-original and therefore disqualified from the competition.

I do hate rules, but I must admit, that's hard to argue with...

​I guess this year will be B-spec at Zandvoort though.

I liked JRodrigues entry as I often wondered what a major brand from another motor racing series would look like when applied to an F1 car.

Of course, we already have seen what Subaru looked like on an F1 car.

And if you want the blue 555 livery, we've seen that too.

That inspired with this design. marrying a variety of motor racing liveries I came across along with some other ideas I saw in this thread ... 

Awesome!  Also goes to show you that the IndyCar is SO much prettier than the F1 car! 

Inspired by BiggestBuddyLazierFan's and YoungGun's entries, I give you:

MORE LAZY Enterprises 2022 A.D., with "anatomically correct" IndyCar featuring the DEFLECTOR SHIELD, and a WORKING LED panel!

I didn't make the rules. You've got time to apply the livery to the standard template.

I don't think adding the deflector shield, which is now part of the CURRENT IndyCar, is a violation of the rules.

Entitled moderator edition, just in case:

I'm guessing you're just the racing fan equivalent of hangry right now because it's been a long off season for Indycar. But I think that's a superb entry and frankly I hope it wins.

Edit: Whoever wins can set the templates for 2021 anyway.

I'm hangry about the Silly Season thread, you know that! 

I think the template rule was initially introduced mostly to discourage people with "pro" graphic skills from straying too far from our generally pretty humble technical level that is intended to be open to everyone. In other cases, it seems to me that it wasn't ever applied very strictly. If it was completely up to me I'd probably allow the aeroscreened design but I'll take the one without it to voting since it's already there...

Anyway, not much time left to enter, just a bit over one week! Those thinking about making something or in the process already should consider themselves gently nudged into action.
