A good chance to test your red/green weakness.

 

2019 Predictions (colour code, red=false, green=true, black=pending)
1. Kvyat to be replaced during the season, Verstappen wins next race
2. Bottas scores more points than Hamilton - BOT 326 HAM 413
3. The virtual WDC will change in the last 10 laps of the final race
4. Hulkenberg to beat Ricciardo(WDC position) - HÜL 14th RIC 9th
5. Every winner wins on at least 4 occasions
6. Only 4 race winners - No, 5 winners HAM BOT LEC VET VER

7. A driver wins his first F1 race - Yes, LEC at Spa

So, only eight predictions turned out to be correct in the end, four of them brought to you by the Brazilian GP.

So, multiple players managed to pick five correct predictions and would have shared first place without the tiebreakersthat indicate at what race a prediction turned true. 20,5 is the steward's decision after the Brazilian GP in case you wonder.

Of my questions (21-23) 21 and 23 can be repeated for this edition. No 22 though, I put it only because it had not happened before last year.

Since we're dealing with unlikely predictions here, how about some changes for 2020?

- 4x5 or 5x5 grid- more answers, hopefully higher points average so it's not all about tie-breakers.

- how about different places on the grid having different pojnts multipliers for a correct answer?

- how about getting 3 out of 5 in a row or column be enough for a point bonus? To get 4 out of 4 last year was very unlikely, 3 out of 5 seems like a more realistic target to aim for

example:

outer columns and rows (highlited) would give you bonus points for getting at least 3 out of 5 answers right but the inner places on the grid would pay more points for a single answer, so it's a tactical choice where you put things that you think are most likely to happen.

It's just a general idea, details can be changed freely.

I hope it doesn't sound too complciated.

Way too complex, should be a fun and easy guessing game not a mathematical enterprise.

I also thought about some changes to the grid and my preferred idea would be to go for two 3x3 grids that overlap in one cell. You would have 3 rows, 3 columns and two diagonals in each grid and one super-diagonal(1-5-9-13-17 below) going through both grids. Edit: And maybe also a super-row(7 to 11) and super-column(3-6-9-12-15).

I like the grid pointed up above. Three in a row is easier to do than four, then we need some more for bonuses.

 

1 point for correct answer

6 bonus points for normal column or row

15 bonus points for super column, row or diagonal

 

Bonus points might be changed but the idea is something like that.

Is this going ahead? If the formula is similar to last year, we need some time to post our unlikely predictions to create a list to choose from.
