It would make for a great season if RB can be competitive from the outset.

The past 3 years or so have threatened a 3 team battle at the top, but whilst all 3 have looked the fastest car for periods, it hasn’t really materialised.

My spots:

- More agressive nose tip with more openings, and nostrils

- We have a cape

- The sidepod seems a bit bulkier and less draped

It's just been enlarged, it isn't higher res. If anything the scaling adds pixelation that make it less defined.

The rear suspension seems to have changed a lot, maybe the bodywork is also a bit more narrow near the rear.
Also, I see a 2-pilar rear wing.

That nose and that sidepods, wow. So so defined. That backend cannot be packaged any tighter, this is the real size zero from honda.

Did Ferrari really say their backend is extreme?  :drunk:

Just the one pic for the launch?

At least they have their car ready nice and early.  Hopefully they will be quick and ready to challenge for wins from Melbourne onwards this time.

They've gone the Alfa Romeo/Ferrari route with the winglet inside the nose, no?

Nothing too surprising here but the car worked well last year so probably some fine tuning, expect the car to be very quick and outright quickest on some tracks. RBR will win a few GPS and perform well enough, I'm hoping to be proven wrong with a true title challenge.

The sidepods are very tight. Look at the strong shadow line running from behind the Citrix logo to the end of the Red Bull logo. And compare that to this pic: https://en.wikipedia...erstappen_1.jpg

Look at the detail shots, it's not a rendering. Just very good studio lighting.

The entire nose section is much smaller too, more like Mercedes. The red circled nose cone mounting holes are curved inwards and the Aston Martin logo is sloped over the sides, it had space on both sides last year.

Sidepod design copied from Mercedes. Also that awkward nose end, looks like they took the McLaren concept and brought it to the next level

As I see it, that shadow line is there because the sidepod is more rounded than last year, when the rounded shape at the air intake quickly transfered to a draped shape (like the SF1000).

Quick comments by Scarbs:

* Vented nose a play on the nose-hole run for many years

The cape under the nose is new, the outboard loaded front wing liable to change in detail at least during testing

* As with Ferrari, low front suspension mounting

* Sidepods small and tidy, top engine cover bulked out for cooling as a result

* Similar Mickey mouse exhaust layout to 2019,fitting on engine cover for t-wing

Not so sure about that. Aren't wet weather tyres larger? Seems to me rake is the same. Front wing seems to have more open space between the elements.
