Just sifting through some colour slides taken during the 1968 British Grand Prix weekend at Brands Hatch and there are these two images. A long shot I know, but would anyone know their names?

Nor does her hair look like I recall Diana's...

Diana Burnett was a well-known racing photographer who married fellow photographer Nigel Snowdon.

There was a German couple who attended GPs. Could this be the better half? They used to set up multiple cameras at Druids including one with a huge lens.

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Maureen Magee. Could it be her?

That was my initial thought.

Having met Maureen (albeit 30 years later) it's a possibility features wise.

I showed the pic to Maureen's friend Rebecca Morrison this evening and like yourself Richard, she thinks it is quite possibly her.

Maureen Magee was at the 1968 British GP:

After attending the 1968 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch and taking photos from the spectators stand, she was advised by Peter Warr from Team Lotus to become an accredited Press Photographer. It was the start of a long association with F1 that lasted for more than 40 years.

It was quite possible in those days to wander around the paddock taking pics, & then return to your grandstand seat to watch the race. I know, I did so!
The young lady has a collection of passes on her bag which are neither those of an accredited photographer nor a marshal. I suspect she was there as the guest of someone. :wave:

All - from Peter Darley:

They referred to the Photographers 1968 on the Nostalgia Forum re. ID. It is certainly Joe Honda, but most definitely not Maureen Magee. I saw and talked to Maureen at most circuits in that era. She usually wore a hand knitted green pullover, and did not have the camera equipment as shown in the photo. Her hair was shorter, and she was a stockier build.

No idea.

However both of them are toting a Nikon F; surely the best camera ever made? I'll be hauling mine (1969) up the Drumhouse Road at Honister Mine in the English Lake District in two days time. Vintage Sports Car Club Lakeland Trial.

Of course most of the shots will be from a modern digital Nikon!
