McLaren M8A - cooling

I'm looking for images or drawing that clarify the piping of the cooling system both engine oil and coolant (the gearbox cooling is already clear).
I have the positions of the coolers but I can't understand all the hoses paths.
Does anyone have any sketches of the schematic or good images?
Many thanks.

Accurate Miniatures made a VERY detailed kit of the M8B, which should be pretty similar. You can download a copy of the instructions (ref 5002) here:-

All the hoses are shown in the illustrations.

Hi, everybody,
I'm in trouble with the decals.
Can somebody confirm the colors of the numbers ?
The original decals of the Tamiya kits were black (like all the pictures I found of the real car).
A company makes them in blue and they told black is wrong.
What's correct?
Thanks a lot.

I have a couple of colour photos, from the net, you probably know them, one close up in the pits at Elkhart, the surround on the Goodyear decal (would it be blue ?) looks close to the number colour, they are both on the shaded side of the car. Difficult, with the differences in film, from then, plus fading over the years of the image, to judge. If they would be of any help pm me, and I can send them to you, can't post here.

I found a picture today (but can't now remember which book it was in...!) of an M8(A) when it was first rolled out of the factory and photographed in the street, sporting a number 4 which appears to be black.
But later (colour) pictures suggest that when the cars got to round 2 (?) at Bridgehampton (for example, in the Argentsinger Donohue photo book) show the numbers were blue (as per the McLaren lettering and driver names on the flanks), with a fine line around the edge of the white roundels. For comparison, one image has the Penske M6B and the Chaparral 2G in the same shot, on which I'm pretty certain the numbers were black.
However, a black and white shot of Denny's car (5) at the first round (Road America) shows no line around the roundel. A shot of Bruce's car at Laguna Seca, later in the year, is inconclusive on both colour and the roundel.
Colour images accompanying Pete Lyons's Can Am series in 'Vintage Motorsport' are similarly inconclusive.
I'll have a look for more images when I get a moment.

There is a colour photo in the book by Pete Lyons Can-Am (p161) which shows the side of the car at 1968 Bridgehampton race. Numeral is blue with thin black edging on a white roundal. There is also a colour photo on the grid at Edmonton '68 in Dave Friedman's book McLaren: Sports Racing Cars (p108) with the same colours if of any help.

I believe he is talking about shots of the Hulme/McLaren M8As in the link in post #11.
