La Gazzetta dello Sport released an alleged image which leaked the design of the 2020 Ferrari F1 challenger. It is believed that the 2020 Ferrari project, dubbed ‘Project 671’ will be far quicker than its predecessor, the Ferrari SF90. Gazzetta claimed that Ferrari will introduce radically different wings, as well as a hydraulic damper system. The bad news for Ferrari is that the damper system will reportedly be banned in 2021, in order to create as much vertical load as possible.
Of course, since there has been no word from the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team, so the supposed leak should be taken with a pinch of salt.
apparently there are some leaks:
Corriere dello Sport:
There are rumors from Maranello that they have designed the gearbox even more compact. This not only results in weight savings, but also ensures that the drive shaft can be placed three centimeters forward.
Due to the shorter wheelbase that results, the car's rake also changes. It becomes a little steeper. That is, the car leans slightly more forward than it already did. The geometry of the car will then be comparable to that of the RB15 from Red Bull Racing.
Leo Turrini on Quotidiano:
it seems that the results of the simulation and wind tunnel tests have not yet impressed the Maranello technicians. However, let's keep in mind that there is still time [to do something about it].
