So it looks like F1 will have 2 Grands Prix at the Red Bull Ring and 2 at Silverstone.

1 will be the Austrian Grand Prix and 1 will be the British Grand Prix.

But what will the other two be monickered?

Most probably the region/county where the circuit is located.

MotoGP will name the 2nd Jerez GP as Andalucia GP.

I never understand the issue with calling both the same name.. or to be more precise, running 2 races within the same GP. What do we need separate names for??

Red Bull Ring getting European Grand Prix and Silverstone English Grand Prix would be good.

The second Silverstone race should be called the Midlands Grand Prix, so it can be confused with the former team.

How about going old school and calling the Silverstone round the Race of Champions or the International Trophy?

IIRC, FIA rules stipulated no more than one official championship race per nation. Hence the Pacific GP, Luxembourg GP, European GP and other such oddities. But it's an old rule, and I don't know if it would apply under these extraordinary circumstances.

Though the European Grand Prix was a much older and grander title, rotated around major races and was a mark of honour. Only in the 1980s did it become the default name for an extra race in a country.

I’d call it the ‘Thank ****ing Christ we’re actually racing and things are finally going back to normal Grand Prix’ but I don’t think they’d go for that due to the expletive.

And the second Austrian race could be called the Alpine Grand Prix so it can be confused with the car.

Liberty are desperate for income, so I suspect we'll just have [SPONSOR] Grand Prix with no country to distract from it.

Still hoping this won't happen, but the Déjà Vu Grand Prix has a ring to it.

Simple. Just call the second races "The Other Austrian GP" and "The Other British GP".

Or "Sharknado 2". Yeah, I like that.

Actually would be really nice if they call it "The Niki Lauda Grand Prix" and "The Stirling Moss Grand Prix"

All of which makes it a nonsense rule. No one is fooled by giving it a different name.

There was no British Grand Prix before World War 2.  The races at Brooklands were called the RAC Grand Prix.  So resurrect that monicker.  Could also have the ÖASC Grand Prix or whatever the Austrian thing is called.

(As the RAC is a London thing, it refused to let a circuit outside the Home Counties, i.e. in a place where people from all over Britain could more easily get to, have the name RAC Grand Prix.  So they were called the Donington Grands Prix.)

"The Boring Ones", because we mostly know what will happen based on the previous race. Seriously, I think the whole idea is stupid and the races will feel artificial. A big part of what keeps F1 interesting is the fact that cars can perform very differently from one track to another. Having two races on the same track will be just boring. "Oh, the Mercedes seem to be just as superior as last weekend, who would have known?"

South Northamptonshire Grand Prix

Technically Silverstone is half in Northamptonshire and half in Buckinghamshire. Remember the “uproar” when Buckinghamshire put “Home of Silverstone” on the green road signs.

I still think they should have run two early evening races on the Wesnesdays and two at the normal Sunday time. At least it might mean different track conditions.

What's this total nonsense of having two races on the same track? That would be as terrible as the 2014 double point nonsense in Abu dhabi, and should be vetoed by the teams.
