Might I commend to TNF this lovely video - Hugh Langrishe who was Ron Flockhart's sometime friend and business partner - recommended to me by present-day D-Type owner Clive Beecham and I think admirably well made...  Lovely gentleman too, now 96 years old - and ex-RN FAA quite apart from the Ecurie Ecosse connection.

There is nothing quite so evocative as the sound of a D type Jaguar (and C type) at full tilt and how appropriate is the charming Hugh Langrishe, many thanks Doug.

What a beautifully made film, wonderful.  It is so important to perserve these recollections which otherwise would be lost. How thoughful of Clive Beecham to take the trouble to organise the visit to Hugh.

Mister Langrishe is a true gentleman, was he 96 at the time the film was shot in 2019 ? So he his probably born in 1923...If you see what I have in mind.

What a splendid nugget of a film, made me realise how spoiled I was taking four rolls of 36 exposures each to Le Mans for the first time in 1981.

Maybe a suitable subject for Lunch With...in Motor Sport?

Brilliant film.

As an aside, it must have been tremendous for Ivor Bueb to be able to celebrate a Le Mans win properly, after the 1955 event. 

Yes, it was nice to see 'Ivor The Driver' being able to smile.
