Just a quick question lads. What was the name of the family who used to own and run the Glen Motor Inn in the 60s?

The Franzese family?  They opened it in the late 1930s, I believe.

I have always wanted to see the Register entry in which Louis T. Stanley reputedly signed in as 'Lord Stanley'.

It was nice to be taken there by Mike Argetsinger in 2014...

To meet Vic too, and talk about his McLaren - which he still owns. A very friendly place. Further company for me was another guest Mike had, Scotsman Murray Smith.

I was wondering whether or not I'd taken any photos there and had a look... and yes I did, though it's almost embarrassing:

Just one photo, aimed at recording the length of the long chip for my stepson, who used to have a thing about the longest chip of the day.

Well, I did say it was almost embarrassing. But it also shows the tableware...

My favorite place to stay on the circuit. Great history, great view, the Franzese's are wonderful people.
