This a strange ad for this Chinook Mk12.

https://www.my105.co...ls/p/1/id/22881

There is no history or details shown.

On Allen Brown's Old Racing Cars Site he believes Chinooks only went to Mk9, so where does Mk12 come from.

The car is located in USA, but the advertiser is shown as being in the Australian Capital Territory.

Because of this is the price in USD or AUD, a significant difference?

ps Mistake in thread title, it should be F5000, not F500.

US phone number...

That's from around Spokane, WA. But if a mobile it could have moved to anywhere.

Formula A Chinooks only went as far as Mk 9, but there was a later monocoque USAC car built for George Eaton, which may be this car.  However, there are some pretty significant differences between the car Eaton was photographed sitting in, and the car that has been racing in historics.  I've said many times that I would love to see a picture of this car racing in period, so we could see what it looked like then.
