G'racing day/night y'all.

One of the most well known, important and mythical races of the whole Motorsport year is upon us ~~if it doesn't rain~~ so I came out of the Nascar room of the forum to make this thread in order to fish out some other lost souls for some turnleft fun.

Tune in all ye every other series fan refuge to the clusterbump that plate racing has become and witness hype & despair.

And on an actual serious note, this race marks 20 years from one of the most tragic days in Motorsport where, in the 2001 Daytona 500 we lost one of the legends of our beloved sport, so gather around and let's toast to one of the best doing fastest laps in the tracks in the sky. God speed, Dale.

At the risk of saying something I've said before, I miss the days when I'd just turn on the TV set, put it on WCAX Channel 3 (CBS, Burlington, VT) and five to ten minutes later the green flag had fallen.
