Alan Hearn, chief mechanic at John Wyer racing team has sadly died. His son Steve Handley disclosed the news on social media.

Very sorry to hear this, and condolences to Mr Hearn's family.
With the death of John Horsman last year, many of the Wyer team principals have left us.

Very sad news, indeed. I cannot remember a more sad eight days. Condolences to Alan Hearn's family and friends...
(And, by the way, at least one of the overlaid adverts and photo overlaid by 'the system' on Post 2 above seems utterly inappropriate in the context of this thread - and I for one consider its appearance here to be grossly offensive)
