Best driver: Fernando Alonso
Worst driver: Valtteri Bottas
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: AlphaTauri
Best overtake: Alonso on Gasly
Worst overtake: Dont think there was any
Best moment: VSC deployed and ALO podium started looking secure :p
Worst moment: Mick Schumacher unsafe rejoin

And the race in a sentence: Better than expectation and in the middle somewhat a snorefest but the track delivered better than it was though to. 8/10

5/10

Compared to last weeks great race at an iconic venue, this felt fairly soulless and stale. Still though at least it wasn't the parade some expected, ironic really had the DRS been a little less powerful there could have been a lot more battles into turn 1. Similar to Mugello last year really.

After the first few laps totally boring, by far the worst race of a great season so far.

Best driver: Cannot differentiate between the top 3 this time. Brilliant execution from all three I think.

Worst driver: Mazepin was way off the pace the whole weekend
Best team: Alpine, great weekend from them
Worst team: AlphaTauri? No points after a front row start.
Best overtake: Kimi on Latifi was pretty ballsy
Worst overtake: -
Best moment: Maybe the start/first lap from Alonso and Max
Worst moment: the late punctures

And the race in a sentence: I accidentally gave it a 7, wanted to mark it as 6. Certainly better than expected, I've always found this track pretty boring in MotoGP, but at F1 speeds, it really looks fun.

I gave this a very low rating, I thought it was really boring, soulless, sterile and exactly the kind of drab Merc demo run I’ve enjoyed not seeing much this season. Alonso’s podium the highlight but even the AlphaTauri threat coming to nothing, it was a race that maybe threatened to deliver something but never did.

Best driver - Alonso
Worst driver - nobody was terrible, even Mazepin had a brief moment.
Best team - Alpine
Worst team - AlphaTauri, their pace just evaporated.
Best overtake - Alonso/Gasly
Worst overtake - none
Best moment - Alonso’s first podium in years
Worst moment - the lack of a race.

Best driver: Alonso - lucky to be promoted on the grid, but made the most of it.
Worst driver: No strong contenders.  Dunno what happened to Riccardo but he's had a hot and cold season.
Best team: Alpine for bringing it all home.
Worst team: Alpha Tauri just fell away.
Best overtake:  Alonso on Gasly
Worst overtake: didn't see any stinkers, but some fairly robust defending at the end of the pit straight made me wince on occasions
Best moment: No one moment springs to mind - says it all really.
Worst moment:  Multiple tyre failures; Pirelli should do better.

And the race in a sentence: Happy with the result, but a long way from being a classic race

Worst driver: Mazepin was way off the pace the whole weekend[/size]

He didn't even set a time in FP2 and FP3. ;)

Best driver: Alonso
Worst driver: I'm no longer answering these as I don't think it's fair
Best team: Alpine
Worst team: As above
Best overtake: Whoever overtook Leclerc when he jinked at the last moment and locked up - was it Perez?
Worst overtake: As above
Best moment: Nothing that stands out
Worst moment: Leclerc's last minute jink when being overtaken into Turn One. I like him a lot and I sympathise with his past experiences of losing a parent. He seems like a good boy who was raised well - but he's a bit too on the edge for me when racing. There's aggressive & hard, and there's dangerous. He's doing what Verstappen was taken to task for years ago.

And the race in a sentence: An event where some wisdom was required and presented by the best drivers in the sport - who were all on the podium.

Track marginally better than feared, but it shouldn't take exploding tyres to make a race interesting

Best driver:  Alonso

Worst driver:  None
Best team:  Mercedes for Hamilton
Worst team:  Mercedes for Bottas
Best overtake:  ALO on GAS
Worst overtake:  Nothing was egregious enough to note.
Best moment:  Lewis crossing the line and extending the championship
Worst moment:  Pirelli tires.

And the race in a sentence:  This driving clinic brought to you by Sir Lewis Hamilton.  Please tune in to our next episode.

Better than I expected, the drivers behind Max and Lewis seemed able to battle and overtake at a couple of spots on the track. Not wildly enthusiastic about a return to Losail, should it happen, but it's hosted a grand prix which wasn't a bore-fest.

But wasn't that at least partly his fault as well?

...

Worst team:  Mercedes for Bottas
...

Huh?

The strategy was set to get Bottas into third from his wonderful 11th place after the first lap. No, they didn't leave him out too long, as they couldn't know the Pirellis would go poof the way they did. By that token, you might as well have nominated McLaren, Williams and whoever else had an unexpected tire failure.

Best driver: Alonso; lucky, but made his own luck

Worst driver: Bottas ; udders on a bull , never delivers when he's needed
Best team: Alpine
Worst team: Pirelli
Best overtake: Alonso on Gasly
Worst overtake: -
Best moment: Alonso P3
Worst moment: VSC stalling the race with 2 laps to go

And the race in a sentence: Utterly boring race and track, no fit for F1, worst of the year along with Holland .

Overall meh...the fastest two drivers in comfortably the fastest 2 cars were miles ahead of everyone else. The governing body must hope the rules change makes it competitive next year- sure isnt at the moment

Some decent battles elsewhere though

the race was kind of boring, but it's hard to follow a race like the Brazil GP weekend.

Best driver:  Fernando Alonso.  Honourable mention to Lance Stroll.
Worst driver:  Valtteri Bottas
Best team:  Alpine
Worst team:  Williams. Honourable mention to AlphaTauri because they got the strategy wrong
Best overtake:  none
Worst overtake:  none
Best moment:  Alonso on podium again
Worst moment:  virtual safety car maybe

And the race in a sentence: As usual they didn't show the action.

I thought that was really good. It featured one of the season’s great drives - Alonso a second a lap faster than anyone else one stopping for a lot of the race and dragging it home third. It’s like Villeneuve at Kyalami way back in 1979, making tyres work in a way no one else can. And who can complain at a Hamilton-Verstappen-Alonso podium?

I’d bring in Losail every year and dump Sakhir if I could. I think it’s a great circuit for F1.

Not much to say, except it was an unusual race. 4 Mercedes powered cars with tire failure. Is that really on Pirelli only?

It was firmly tongue-in-cheek as were a couple of my other comments...

Better than expected, though expectations were pretty low. Memorable moment might have been the gap to third just 1/3 or so into the race.
